Ding Dong.
NK is Iraq in 1990. Plus, they are not in an area that is critical to the world economy. Yes. Politics and war (the other means) are ALMOST ALWAYS involving economics. Buy a clue.
If SK and Japan were smart they would plant some intermediate range nukes and tell NK to go blow. A cold war with a nuclear power is the best way to crush it. It just takes longer.

If you don't like what is being said that's fine but the rest of the world has not heard him as the networks don't carry most of his speeches.
Do you not see how measured his response is -- he is not off but controlling what he wants to really say to this press corps.
How would you like to be in a room to answer questions from a hostile press corps?

He is acting as if he knows something bad has happened and he cannot tell us. He's getting ready to launch an operation that will result in some US casulties. That is bound to weigh on anyone.

Reagan was more eloquent and a more adroit communicator. He was my hero.
My President is still writing history.

Mr. Moran is of the Democratic Party High-Concept school. Just keep denying that we have allies. The problem is the people have the internet, and ABC et al. aren't the filters of the news they once were. So (hopefully) he sounds arrogant.

You're correct on the gravity of the situation. His voice tells me (I'm listening on radio) that a decision has been made and orders sent. If I were Saddam, I would be staining my panties right about now. War is not taken lightly by this President. God Bless him and Laura.

"A liberated Iraq would be important."
But apparently not a liberated North Korea. If North Korea were in the book of Revelation, I'll bet freepers would want us to invade, but as it is, they demand an invasion of Iraq even though it isn't threatening us vocally the way N Korea is.

I don't see any other thing that distinguishes the Iraq situation from the N Korean situation - - except the oil, that is. Obviously you haven't studied the N. Korean situation very much, but I'm not going to explain it to you right now; I'm going to watch the rest of the press conference.
