North Korea isn't threatening the supply of oil.Neither is Iraq.
I agree. I heard Saddam tell Dan Rather he invaded Kuwait and tried to take Saudi Arabia because he wanted the great beachfront property they had....
....oh, and all that sand.
Really.

I don't think Helen was there tonight...she must be getting her beauty sleep.Well, she should arrange for a barber to come in once a week for a shave or by the time she sleeps long enough her beard will be as long as Rip's.

To back down would be a foreign policy failure that would dwarf the Bay of Pigs, Desert One, and all the other screw-ups that democratic presidents seem to be so adept at making.

Dec. 12, 2004 (AP) - US President George Bush warned Iraq that the US would be willing to consider a preliminary meeting to convene a commission to entertain a 29th resolution that would detail that "we really mean it , f'shure this time".

ROFL!! I was thinking the same thing! WHO THE HELL ELSE LOOKS LIKE HER???!?!?!? Thankfully, there is only one helen thomas. When she was made the mold was broken, burned, buried, and prayed over. E-freekin'-gads.

See #1322. There's more to this than meets the eye, folks.

I was waiting for someone to say that they had seen her. Means she was there and she was NOT called on! GREAT! Yes, that's even better! (glad I didn't see her, though)

The Korean War was 50 damn years ago. Try to keep up. I guess we should invade Japan in your eyes

I blew right past that the first time. Holy cow -ping- if true. The press conference tonight was a clear foreshadow of withdrawal of the US from the UN." Me, too! ~~ Could have some really sweet dreams tonight!
To: Aeronaut
gag, but she's ugly....it wasn't a close up shot of her that I saw, it was a pan shot. She was back a ways, bending over .... like she was picking up something off the chair.......the camera was in the back of the room....so her position was dead on, but about 5 rows back from the front of the room.......the weight/height of this woman, color of hair, was her....

our sanctions now limit the amount Iraq can pump. Even 60 minutes pointed out on Sunday that Iraq has been smuggling out many illeagal tanker truck loads of oil through Turkey and Syria.

I hear John goodman just picked up the lead role in the upcoming film, "The Helen Thomas Story."

Right,,it is a trick. If Bush were to say, hey lets do korea while we are at it,,he would be burned out of the WH as a war mongering cowboy. And if he changed stride and said, hey NK is a greater threat,,I can hear the whining,,doesn't he care about kthe Iraqis,,,the NK argument is a feint, a trick, a slogan and the masses are buying it because they are, well, stupid is the only word I can come up with.
To: churchillbuff
Yes, the liberation of the NK people means a lot to many of us, however many of the people we were trying to "liberate" would fight us, or be slaughtered by their own government/army lest they become "contaminated" by anything less than "pure revolutionary thought".
Iraq and NK are both threats, Iraq is one that we can remove right now, NK will take some time and effort..
One fight at a time....
