THANK YOU for your response to churchillbuff! Wow! Another poster off their meds!
To: Jim Noble
Agreed!
And if there is no formal declaration of war, all the benefits afforded those who participate, do not come into play.
To: churchillbuff
Neither is IraqHorsecrap. Why else would we care if he has WMD?
I'll go slow as to not confuse you. Iraq has long-range rockets. North Korea has long-range rockets. Iraq used their rockets on a neutral country in the Gulf War. North Korea did not. Therefore, Iraq's WMD are a threat. If NK uses it's rockets on its neighbors, we will treat NK just like Iraq.

Saddam openly supports the "Hamas", and other terror org.'s. Therefore we are right to destroy his govt. and supporters
Hamas isn't threatening the U.S. IF we need to go to war against all terrorist groups, regardless of whether they've targeted the US, why don't we start in Northern Ireland? The IRA - and the protestant paramlitaries - have both killed Americans who happened to be present at their bombings. (Just as Hamas has killed Americans who happened to be present at their bombings)
No, I say we go to war only against groups -- or their suppliers -- who have attacked, purposefully, the US or its interests directly. That includes OBL, but Saddam isn't supporting him.

I don't know if Hart has killed anyone but he spews a similar brand of BS and seems to as infatuated with himself as Kennedy is.

Just as Being for Contaiment in N Korea doesn't make Bush a traitor or disloyal, so being for containment in Iraq doesn't make me a traitor or disloyal, merely someone who wants some consistency in foreign policy. Applying the same strategy to NK as you apply to Iraq is not consistent, it's simplistic. Thank God those who run our government are able to develop specific strategies for specific situations.

My understanding is that after the 1st of April, conditions will be very difficult for the military, given that the internal temperatures of the protective suits is about 50 degrees higher than the external temperature. I'm not convinced that the timing is irrelevant. There are costs to waiting, how high, obviously I can't say.there are higher costs, true, but they are primarily to iraq. why? because in order to make a biochem attack less likely, we would have to hammer them all the harder. if we go in sooner, the damage to iraq and its people will be significantly less.

Bill O'R's show is dull tonight. I love Newt, but he had no new insights to offer and he's a bore. Gary Hart was a bore and got himself all tripped up and sputtered down at the end of his segment like a sixty-five year-old Model T. Linda Chavez now on, she's a little more sprightly, but not much. Bring on Ann Coulter, instead, please.
I actually find myself in the position of looking forward to Charley Rangle with whom there's never a dull moment.

He made several remarks that made it clear he was going to attack and it's too late for Saddam to disarm now. I'm guessing Blix is busy editing the report he's due to give tomorrow.
(I, too, wish he had chosen a different setting....but, all things considered I think the UN and France & Co. got his "drift".)
To: churchillbuff
If the world thinks that N Korea is a bigger danger, where the hell are they trying to do something other than waiting for the US to take care of all the problems in the damn world.

Although it is kind of funny just to listen to the inane ramblings of liberal buffoons on Fox sometimes. I always get the feeling that while they are allowed on Fox, they are not necessarily "welcome."
If anyone remembers the guy, Ben Chao was the biggest pile of horse vomit I have ever seen on Fox. He was some real young Democrat strategist. There is not an eternal flamme hot enough for that guy.
