I am impatient by nature too. But the DEMS are going to be expending more energy thatn the GOP, in trying to get their way. And in the end, they won't get their way.

The DEMs have already set the precedent, in fact, long ago when Daschle was Maj-leader, he would refuce to bring items to the floor unless there was a 60 vote super-majority.

Plus, the rules of the Senate permit a single Senator to object to taking the vote on bills, etc. (some procedural matters cannot be objected to), and cloture, by Senate rules, takes 60 votes.

My point is that the so-called precedent of needing either unanimous consent or a super-majority was "set" long ago. In the grand scheme, the issue has considerable complexity, and one should deliberate carefully the approach to solve it.

And, we can agree to disagree. I don't have a solution, I respect your opinion that 24/7 is the way to go, but I don't share it.

He and O'Reilly are pretty much the same. They never take the Conservative side on anything, but insist on being "fair and balanced" by bringing the "RAT" side in on every issue they discuss.
