Frist is again summarizing the past events. He has made 17 requests for vote, and 17 times the DEMs have objected. The nominee is qualified, deserves a vote. On to the cloture motion. C'mon.

Frist up lamenting the dems' blocking this hispanic nominee who came to this country not speaking English but through hard work achieved academic excellence. Bar Association gives him high marks. We want an up or down vote.

Good morning, thanks for the ping!
I'm about to start school dropoff rounds, do we know the time the actual cloture vote will occur?!
Just turned on Frist speaking before I leave. Thanks!
To: RobFromGa
Frist:
Debate began Feb 5, asked for unanimous consent 17 times, always denied, seventeen times.
Dems have chosen to filibuster this fine nominee.
Retelling story of estrada's life-- a self made man, immigrant, academically impeccable
Deserves up and down vote after over a month, and 100+ hours debate./

It may be shortly. I'm not really sure.
I think we may get a big surprise this morning.

Give him a moment... he's making the final case against the D's obstructionism. He's making it as hard on them as he can to oppose this vote. It will make them look worse when they continue obstructing...
Now pointing out that NO ONE took advantage of opportunity for more answers! Get'em!!

Eeek, I think I'll buzz over to the H.S. right now and I'll have time to stop back in for 20 minutes before the next dropoff. Hopefully I'll make it back. Thanks!!

Frist is poking a big hole in the DEM primary argument of "need more information."
Estrada has made himself available to each Senator, personally; there was an offer from WH to submit questions.
The responsible thing for DEMs is to approve cloture this time around
But the GOP "Will press for an up-or-down vote on this noiminee until Miguel Estrada is confirmed."
Doesn't sound wobbly to my ears.

Here we go! Unlike the House they don't keep a running tally going.
