What these hollywood left un-American yo yo's fail to realize is that late baby boomers like me are old enough to remember what they did in the 60's....... Excellent observation. I remember, too.
And there are five more Americans like you at my house!

God bless you, Charlie Daniels, and all the Baxley Georgias and the American citizens who get a knot in their throat when the firefighters hoisting the American flag over the remains of the Trade Towers is shown.
Charlie, you're damn straight right! The hollywood traitors have proven whom they care about ... and it ain't this nation or the people who plant the ground, pump the gas, or man the battlements. The hollywood appeasenik fools ain't worth the price of admission anywhere around my town. I'm with ya, Charlie. Not another damn cent for the support of the anti-American, condescending, hollywood freaks. NADA!

"Thank you for a polite, well reasoned response." You're welcome.
Tonight I hosted a 'debate' (for lack of a better term) that gave a local 'peace' group and a few members of the Libertarian Party a chance to outline their opposition and to defend it against some tough questioning.
The 'peacenik' was from Saudi Arabia. His points were mostly Bush bashing and anti-America. Loaded with moral equivalency and outright lies, he did not win any converts. However, more than a few were intrigued by the LP position. Not swayed or convinced, but at least intrigued. Their opposition was based on the perceived failure of Congress to obey the Constitution and declare war. Both sides were lacking in alternatives to dealing with Iraq.
No minds were changed tonight, but my intent was to expose the 'peace' guy's anti-America agenda, (which he accomplished very well on his own with not much help from me) and let everyone hear a new perspective.

".... many people have legitimate concerns about this "war" and oppose it for legitimate, rational and logical reasons." I would be interested in hearing what you think are "legitimate, rational and logical reasons" to be against disarming Saddam's Iraq..

Great to hear that about the debate. More of us should take the intiative to do such things.
Both sides were lacking in alternatives to dealing with Iraq.
Yes, I too do not know the answer to the question as to what to do about Iraq if there is no war. Maybe those "for the war" and those "against the war" could sit around and throw out some ideas. Obviously, persons like the anti-American Saudi you spoke of will bring little legitimate discourse to the debate. I think as long as "both sides" can agree that Iraq is a definite problem, then a solution other than war may be worked out. Then again, maybe such a solution couldn't be found.
To: FreeTally
My group got started 4 years ago and we meet monthly to discuss Constitutional issues and other relevent current events. It's hard work, but fun and rewarding too.
Identifying a problem is always a lot easier than finding the right solution, but I believe that the anti-America left will do anything to derail this country and GWB because they truly hate this country. If truth be told, short of war to remove Saddam, I don't know of any other thing that could work. Sanctions didn't. UN resolutions didn't. Talking sure didn't. Either we ignore him (at all of our peril) or we take the risk and burden of removing a dangerous despot because we are the only ones that can.
I am only a recent convert to this action myself. I wasn't opposed to war, I just was sure that I was for it. But when I see all the leftist, hate America, Bush bashing (and I've done my share of that myself) scumbag socialists and communists oppose the war, I just *had* to be for it.
