Oh, and I love your response to #50......Very profound.

Doesn't the word "Mexico" translate (English) into "land of hypocritical and ungrateful unskilled people governed by corrupt, sleazy and back-stabbing dirt bags"?
To: yankeedame
This underlying theme of "unilateral action" is spurious; a straw man.
If I see a man raping a woman in an alleyway, am I supposed to wait until someone else comes along to join me in stopping it?

Doesn't the word "Mexico" translate (English) into "land of hypocritical and ungrateful unskilled people governed by corrupt, sleazy and back-stabbing dirt bags"?You forgot part of the meaning,..A land of people that have no respect for *our laws, our sovereignty, our rules, our borders*. They could care less about our laws or what might be in the best interest for America.
Mexico is no different than France, except that millions from Mexico are crashing our borders and invading our country. To be sure, France has caused us no where near the problems Mexico has.
To: yankeedame
Maybe we should pass a law taxing all money orders and western union money transfers to mexico. Maybe then they would fear us.
To: yankeedame
Close our damn borders with that bunch of taco eaters and they will have revolution inside of 30 minutes in Mexico.

They would be rioting in our streets over that! Bet the rent....
How stupid can our leaders be?
To: Mr. Mojo
This sort of statement plays very well on the machismo-obsessed Mexican street. Pure public consumption nonsense.Absolutely right. But Fox is missing the point. Unlike socialist countries, Americans are intelligent enough and stubborn enough to boycott on their own. We don't need governmental handlers leading us around by the nose. Not that I'm advocating a Mexican boycott, yet, but if I should decide it's appropriate I'll just start doing it . . . just like most other Americans who've decided it's warranted.

Some Mexicans, however, fear a vote against their powerful northern neighbor would anger the United States, the destination for more than 85 percent of Mexican exports. I'd be more than willing to do without the trash imports that come from Mexico should the U.S. break trade with Fox.
How many miniature sombrero keychains do I need anyway?

They don't fear us because we think they are insignificant. Mexico isn't a superpower or leader of anything.
To: Joe Hadenuf
Congressman Tancredo was on C-SPAN last night and he suggested that our co-presidente wants "amnesty" for the illegals here in exchange for Mexico's vote. I wonder if Jorge will give it to him?
To: geedee
Does your boycott on Mexico include stopping the millions that are entering our country illegally?
To: yankeedame
Well, since it won't be "unilateral" I guess there's no problem.

Your post is right on and IMO this is the start of the slippery slope on US/Mexico relations that will breed even more animosity between illegals and Americans. They're here because billions are spent to support their needs for housing, food, medical, etc. We're starting to see states and the feds cry about a shortage of funds and when the day comes the gravy train is cut off for the illegals, it's going to get very interesting.....just the way it's been planned.

``We are in an almost daily dialogue, they know our position and we're convinced there won't be any reprisals.''
Sure there will be reprisals. I won't be buying a dam thing from Mexico... just like with France, Germany and Belgium and any other nation not supporting us!
To: yankeedame
Mexico can't house its population without US aid, who gives a rats a$$ what Fox thinks regarding US foreign policy.
To: FenianOfEire
Fox wants the South-West back, it's been stated, and Bush is going along with it... Why do you think that is? Is it an attempt to buy Mexican votes? Is it a payback of political debts to coroporate GOP sponsors who want cheap labor? Is it some NWO tactic to eventually do away with national borders?
