First of all I would like to give thanks to the people of Free Republic for giving us a podium in which to make our voices heard. It is very important for us to get our voices heard and sometimes it feels like we are so out-numbered by those on the left. So thank you Free Republic for the opportunity. For those of you out there who agree with me, please continue to support them for that right.

The constitution does not say anything about separation of Church and state. It does say however, that Government shall not infringe or create religious preferences. (I paraphrase)In my opinion it is semantics. "GOD" could be viewed by any religion as a deity, it is not a christian God. The only ones who would be upset about it may be the atheists, who don't believe in anything. I am an agnostic myself. I am not offended, since there must be a creator, to start this mess, I just can't get myself to embrace any rigid religion. :) We must have a lot of time on our hands to even debate these silly things since there are more important items on the AGENDA?

Today's Joke:
==================
Although he was a qualified meteorologist, Hopkins ran up a terrible record of forecasting for the TV news program. He became something of a local joke when a newspaper began keeping a record of his predictions and showed that he'd been wrong almost three hundred times in a single year. That kind of notoriety was enough to get him fired.
He moved to another part of the country and applied for a similar job. One blank on the job application called for the reason for leaving his previous position. Hopkins wrote, "The climate didn't agree with me."

I thought there were actual laws on the books covering separation of church and state. Thanks for straightening me out fellas.
