The Houston Area Texans Houston Chapter of FreeRepublic.com and the FreeRepublic Network |

HOUSTON FREEPS the AIRWAVES Tuesday, March 4, 2003
Houston Area Texans members Dix and Allegra represented our FreeRepublic Network Chapter for the second time on a local access television program. In a conservative vs liberal debate format, host Glenn Urbach was joined by attorney/activist Terry O'Roarke to counter Dix and Allegra. Houston FReepers Dix and Allegra
Host Glenn Urbach
Attorney Terry O'Roarke
Before the discussion of the possibility of war was begun the host started with a bashing of FreeRepublic, taking thread quotes out of context, and questioned the image below that is on our Chapter web site.
Neither Dix or Allegra asked Glenn about his cake from the farewell party as he leaves the leadership of the Harris County Young Democrats.
I doubt that any minds were changed by the discussion. Your thoughts are welcome.

When lefties start laying land mines with qoutes from the Forum, the best response is something like this;
"As you are well aware, FreeRepublic.com is a public bulletin board where anyone can register and post, including liberals who have been caught posting racist and antisemetic literature so people like you can run to the media and engage in baseless and unfair character assassination. If you have an issue with me or with activities of my group, let's hear it, and leave accusations about the words and actions of others that we have no control over to them."
Can't do much about the pic on your site...heheh.

Will it be replayed later? Hmmm. . . Maybe in the middle of the night - I don't think there is a regular replay schedule.. It is on tape and can be viewed at our next get together.

For those who missed the show I'm sure we will have the replay at our next monthly meeting.
I haven't seen the replay yet, so I don't know how we did, but I can tell you this, we had a ball. Allegra rocks, and rules.

We knew it was tonight, right? I did a Freep Search and found ZERO. WHY IS THAT? Anyone have a clue or am I just stupid? This is frosting on the cake for the dessert platter after C-Span... except were talking millions of viewers. Where the Banner Ads as we enter Free Republic?

By the way, don't get me wrong... I found the posts but I just thought it deserved more play than what seems to have been given the ***50,000 Support our Troops*** "humor" posts of late.
Collectively, Freepers at the DC Patriots Rally for America introduced tens of thousands of American to Free Republic for the first time thanks to C-Span. A new member or visitor is likely less able to find the Nightline topics than me. I had to look for them and Search didn't pull the lates posts.

Man, that was FUN! I hope we get to do it again. I have to point out that humblegunner was actually allowed to sit in the studio with us on the condition that he not say a word and he complied.
When the topic of North Korea was brought up, I looked at him and saw just what I expected. He mouthed quite clearly "no fry dog," and grinned. It took all the composure I had to keep from cracking up.
