I don't doubt the story but the 2nd and 3rd photographs are not real. They show the fence abutting a red brick wall and chainlink fence...there is no red brick wall or chainlink fence in the 1st photo. The chainlink fence is there. Look in the lower RH corner. The red wall is too far back to see.
The spacing of the bars in the 2nd and 3rd photo are different from the spacing in the 1st photo.
That's due to parallax. Look at the first photograph on this page for a wider view of the scene. It may be staged (I don't think so), but even so, why would someone bother to stage it twice (resulting in inconsistent photographs)?

I just had to use that one. It is the answer to a Science and Nature question in the original Trivial Pursuit edition. =;^)

Look at the first photograph on this page for a wider view of the scene. Well now THAT'S different. I stand corrected.
I had taken parallax into account in my initial viewing but it still looked off. Oh well.

Totally bogus: the blood spray pattern is inconsistant with the claimed accident, and notice how there is no blood or tissue whatsoever under the head on the fence.

I don't see what's so unbelievable about the photos. The ground directly under the head is not visible in the photographs anyway. You can see some blood on the back of the street sign laying on the ground which is near where the man struck the fence. You wouldn't see a tremendous amount of blood directly below the head anyway. Blood is pumped to the brain from the heart, and much of that blood is visible in a pool beside the headless corpse. The fact that so many think this is "bogus" and "faked" is what I find amazing. Maybe you've seen too many hollywood movies.

Maybe you've seen too many hollywood movies. Ummm...no, I've seen to many accident/crime scenes up close and personal. It used to be my job.
The blood around the (lower) body should have been a LOT more than what is evident from the photo(s).
Not only is there not a 'tremendous amount' of blood below the head on the fence, there is none. No drip patterns, nothing.
Not the height of the actual posts on the fence. Had he really fallen and this happened, some evidence of it protruding outwards, even with the dreads, should be visible.
Do you notice the direction the face is looking in? I cannot see how the body would have landed where and how it did with the head positioned as it is in the photos.
In short, unbelievable.

Not to worry. You were rightly pissed and so were others who said nothing. I have no love for pop ups and was not *thinking* when I posted the link.

"The blood around the (lower) body should have been a LOT more than what is evident from the photo(s)." Did you bother to check the link provided in post number 62? The amount of blood in the photo with the body certainly seems to be what one would expect.
"Not only is there not a 'tremendous amount' of blood below the head on the fence, there is none. No drip patterns, nothing."
No drip patterns? What do you call the substance seen dripping from the rail directly below the head in this photo:
Here's your drip pattern
"Not the height of the actual posts on the fence. Had he really fallen and this happened, some evidence of it protruding outwards, even with the dreads, should be visible."
The height of the man's head is about the same as the height of the post above the top rail. If you look carefully you can see where the post has pushed up near one of the dreadlocks.
"Do you notice the direction the face is looking in? I cannot see how the body would have landed where and how it did with the head positioned as it is in the photos."
You neglected to factor the body bouncing and or rolling after impacting with the ground from a height of nearly forty feet. I would guess that he flipped on the way down so he was almost stretched out horizontilly facing upwards when he struck the fence. The fence post penetrated at the base of the skull and the weight of the falling body pulled the face forward before separating.
"In short, unbelievable."
What line of work was it you were in?

Police still are investigating whether the man jumped or fell off the raised interstate.
Is this really important now?

It used to be my job.Used to be your job huh?
Somehow, I don't find that very surprising.

At least he died quickly. It was likely "lights out" in just a split second.
Poor guy.
