And to this day, I am sick of coverage of the SCOTUS vote never including this line from the actual decision:

Hatch wrote a letter to Daschle last Friday. In it he told shrimpy that maybe he was misinformed about Judiciary Committee Rules, because he had never been on the J.C. LOL!

FREEPERS. This is the strategy among Dems. Let Bush appoint lots of people to the lower courts. EVERY DEM VOTES FOR THEM. That way they get their numbers up so they can say, I voted for 97% of Bush's nominees. To the uninformed independants, this sounds reasonable. But, then they obstruct, delay, obstruct, so nominees for Appeals courts, don't get votes. This keeps their no votes down, and the District courts can always be overturned by the Appeals and the Supremes.

Don't let the Dems fool us! This is a judicial ideolgocical/constitutional WAR!
