I guess we don't want to talk about how there probably wouldn't have been an opening for the Communists if the FRENCH hadn't mismanaged Viet Nam so badly.

Have just a few minutes to FREEP and must listen to this dribble! AARRRRRUGGGGHHHH!"
I have him on mute, listening to Rush!
Isn't it great! I can remember climbing on the roof
when I was a kid, moving the TV antenna around so
we could get a picture.

He wants to continue the inspections with more inspectors. He just doesn't get it, does he? Send him to Bagdad.

I'm in Upstate New York. I have no Senator who will consider the right of Estrada to have a vote.

I guess we don't want to talk about how there probably wouldn't have been an opening for the Communists if the FRENCH hadn't mismanaged Viet Nam so badly.I have tuned Harkin out, but now that you mention this, I am reading Nelson DeMille's "Up Country" which takes place in Viet Nam (story is set in 1997).
The main character just went on a tour of a village in North Vietnam and was informed that a big battle took place there in the fifties, ending with the surrender of the French. I just read this scene last night (it's a novel, but I figured he was relaying a true piece of history with this episode). Imagaine my stunned surprise! (not)
I confess to not knowing my Vietnam history as well I should.

You guys hold the fort. I have to leave for a few minutes. PLEASE note whenever the Turkish question comes up with the democrats. I think they had some influence in the Turkish parliament vote. Just a hunch, but Harkin NEVER discusses anything except Social Security, raising taxes, and agriculture. For him to start talking about Turkey is very weird.

Hatch:
Bonnie Campbell had no experience, never tried a case, never got to the floor of the Senate, here ABA rating was below Estrada...
Hatch keeps referring to a filibuster in progress, calls it unconstitutional, are we technically in a filibuster??

Hatch starting to raise his voice again...
Reminding of the effort to get clinton judges confirmed. Clinton got 85% confirmed of the individuals he named! Some of the non-confirmed were when the dems were in control...he goes on setting the record straight.

One of your New York Senators isn't even at work today. Her fat ass is out calling for more inspections. Wow. Harkin and Clinton have the same thought even though one is home, and the other is yapping in the Senate.
