Terrorists aim at Pearl Harbor

Terrorists linked to al Qaeda have targeted U.S. military facilities in Pearl Harbor, including nuclear-powered submarines and ships, The Washington Times has learned.

Intelligence reports about the terrorist threat to the Hawaiian harbor bombed by the Japanese in World War II were sent to senior U.S. officials in the past two weeks and coincided with reports of the planning of a major attack by Osama bin Laden's terrorist group. Officials said the reports were one of the reasons that led to the recent heightened security threat alert. The alert status has since been lowered.

Even Japan will run this story with a tinge of "What? My goodness, how stupid of those terrorists to think they would demoralize Americans by bombing that port in the Pacific".....

And the islamos will learn what the Japanese learned to their regret. The quote from a Japanese general, maybe it was Yamamoto, something about: "I fear we have awakened a sleeping tiger."

The article from the Washington TImes says that, "al Qaeda is planning an attack on Pearl Harbor".

Most media sources, including Hawaii papers, are ignoring the article.

The ones who are reporting it (including Yahoo) use a Reuters article which says that they PLANNED an attack.

This is not a technical point. The article says that they ARE PLANNING an attack. That is current. The media makes it sound like it is a done deal and that there is no reason for concern.

I have a flight booked for March 11/16 to Honolulu. These brother truckers in the media should give us truth. They are referring to the Washington Times article but they CHANGE THE ENTIRE STORY by putting it into the past tense.

I'm curious to see whether or not our leftist local papers will run the article. This is a huge story--something the local populace would appreciate knowing. It has definitely made me desire to be more alert.

That history and Chinese expansionism in Asia should be enough to tell you who would gain from such a Pearl Harbor attack and how OBL works with the Chinese just as OBL works in the same way with Saddam.

The attacks would be carried out by hijacked airliners from nearby Honolulu International Airport that would be flown into submarines or ships docked at Pearl Harbor in suicide missions, said officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

I hope that someone is considering the fact that it would be easier to use an airliner about to arrive at Honolulu. There would be less fuel, but security at other airports is going to be less stringent, especially foreign airlines flying to Honolulu or just stopping for fuel.
