I think that we are all getting hot under the collar for no reason. The DC Chapter inspires FReepers in other areas of the country. Can't get turn out in DC, you got it tn FLA, OH, and TX, all due to the ground work laid by the people in DC an year and a half ago.

Look, don't worry about making me feel "defensive." You haven't persuaded me on your arguments. I welcome *any* suggestion you have as to anything that we didn't try, that's my point. I know your point of view is sincerely held and you're trying to be helpful. Please don't mistake my emphatic disagreement with your point of view for any personal animus. Seriously, if there's something we didn't do that we should have, I for one am all ears. And I really am sorry you feel sad. I *really* am. I just *really* know how the people we saw near the Pentagon felt about us holding the rally, and I *do* give their voice higher priority. But we're one Freeper community, the FR logo's on what we did, and you shouldn't be shy about saying what you said if that's what is on your mind. LOL, I just *really* disagree. OK? :)

I'm impressed with Kevin Martin, he has a down-to-Earth style that I like, although I appreciated the more formal speakers as well! There was a style of speaker to fit various tastes in the rally, which was perfect.
Kudos to everyone who worked so hard to put this together!

Well, I think a lot of the TX turnout isn't Freeper -- it's from those local conservative talk radio hosts.
LOL, what we *really* need to do is get one of those.
Hmmmm. Tgsl, who shall we draft?
To: sauropod
Yea, that's what I thought.
Prego.

You guys are awesome and deserve huge crowds. I just hope your motivation remains high because I think what the DC chapter gives to this country is immeasurable. Kudos from Texas!
To: Jerez2
Who's complaining? I'm decrying the coverage, not the event. I've given comments like yours lots of thought. If I jumped to attend every event, my grades would suffer. If my grades suffered, I couldn't make law review. If that happened, I would not be in position to help the cause.
On the other hand, if I stick to the books and MAKE law review, I will be in a position to *significantly* aid our common cause. But, that takes time, dedication, and sacrifice -- such as not attending events I would otherwise like to attend. As a conservative member of law review, I would be in a position to significantly affect the legal dialog on issues that matter to conservatives and to challenge the prevailing wisdom. In such a position, I could make a significant impact which would benefit all conservatives.
Keep this in mind -- I'm on YOUR side.

Bob Dornan oughtta be the next Senator from California...he was AWESOME!!

Great job everybody. It's nice seeing a bunch a patriots. What a positive contrast to the ANSWER freak show.
To: sauropod; Neets
If a slam was not intended then work on your writing style.
Whew! Um, wow. OK, neets, if Sauropod is being, well, very emphatic in this comment, I can only say 2 things: there's a certain mood one carries into the thread right before your comment which might make an exhausted DC Chapter member testy, plus I've been giving 'Pod too much "attitude" myself lately. So I think, to be perfectly fair, I must take some share of the blame and please don't burn our 'Pod. Blame me.
To: jmstein7; Jerez2

LOL, this is TOO easy. Jerez2, let's not even bother doing the honors. Remember, he's only studying to be a lawyer. Hint: you should at least space out your inconsistencies over time so the dramatic constrast isn't as glary.
To: tgslTakoma
You guys are great, two hours plus on CSPAN supporting our troops. Don't even give a thought to people like Deb who like to p!ss on your efforts.
There is just no pleasing some people. They live to complain. But we all know that even these negative nellies are useful in pointing out the importance of strong self-esteem and a strong positive attitude.
DC Freepers have made a positive difference to the United States. They did so yesterday, and the coverage on CSPAN today is wonderful.
Eagles Up!!!
