Shiver along with the D.C. Chapter, FReepers from across the country, other patriotic Americans and Iraqi exiles as C-SPAN broadcasts the Patriots Rally For America IV today at 1:05 p.m.
Recorded yesterday at the cold, fog-shrouded, snow-covered grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally held to support our troops, President Bush and the American policy on Iraq features former Rep. Bob Dornan, Aziz Al-Taee, Blanquita Cullum, John Armor, James Parmelee, Kevin Martin, Adam Ramey and yours truly.
Also featured are singers Cullen Martin, Stephanie Souders and, from Nashville, Lowell Shyette.
The program, if shown in it's entirety, should run three hours and fifteen minutes.
Get some hot chocolate ready, pop some popcorn, put on your red, white and blue sweaters and get ready to root for the home team: the men and women serving in our Armed Forces.
EAGLES UP !!!

Ah, you noticed! :) Sigh, as I already confessed to Taxman, I riffed on the "ex-wife" thing for the sole purpose of annoying you since you'd annoy me. Sorry about that. If it matters at all, I've slept a good part of the last 24 hours and have something that -- oh, this is the worst part -- prevents me from eating! ;) That's probably not such a bad idea, I suppose.
I'm loving this CSPAN coverage. It's great camera work -- I wish they'd put the sign with the FR URL under the podium in the shot. They're real tight on the speakers here. But a minor point.

This is a powerful condemnation of the Sink Emperor.

Nutmeg! Hi!! Do you see where Bob Dornan mentions the DC Chapter's flag guide of the flags of hate and violence (like the Hezbollah flag) that the leftist fly at their so-called peace rallies? I gave him that at the press table and talked it up! :) {{{FreeTheHostages}}}
Hey, mega-kudos to you for all the hard work you did for this rally. It is AWESOME. I've been watching CSPAN's coverage since 1:05PM and am taping it. Yes, I've heard most of B-1 Bob's speech. Actually, I was on the phone for a few minutes (calling my mother to tell her to watch the rally!), and may have missed the part about the DC Chapter's flag guide. No matter, I'll rerun the tape and listen to that part. I picked up one of those flag guides at CPAC - what a fantastic idea!
zelig and our "book-smart son" were here for the beginning part of the rally... they listened intently to Aziz Al-Taee. He was amazing! The TRUTH will sure help counter the leftist claptrap I'm sure he's exposed to on a daily basis on campus. (He says most of the guys in his fraternity are conservative, though... there's some hope.)

ROFL!

really? I think it's confusing how they keep switching URLs. You like it? They give our mailing address right -- second time in a row on that. That's good.

I have no idea how these rallies are conceived, or what other organizations they may combine with in getting the word out. Some of us would like to help but we need your help.

LOL -- it had even more attitude than I had planned, alas. Sigh.
Of course you were there -- we met. And I saw Tolerance. Blonde moment: I'll add you to the list.

Plan and execute, counterprotest, do what ever you can to show thet there is opposition to the commies. Do it everywhere and do it at every opertunity.
Though the coverage that we recieve maybe, at this time, small, at least there is some reporting on these events. I suspect that the impact that these events have is far greater than we can measure.
Based on the small FReeps that we have had in Boston, being stopped on the street months later and thanked for being out there, shows something.

People have commitments. Do you know how many fliers I see at school for rallies with free busing and t-shirts? Tons! THAT'S how the leftists do. I'd rather have smaller rallies all over the country. At least they're REAL.

Dornan sure toasted John Kerry with his phony medal throwing media ploy. Dornan said he went to look at the medals that were thrown down that day and not one of them was a medal for bravery or valor. Just standard issue anybody could pick up at a military surplus store.
Way to go Bob!

I met people at the rally who came out because of Sean Hannity. Got their email addresses.
Glenn Beck is doing "Rally for America." You should go to that website and post your Manchester rally data their, Nutmeg! They have a way you can add protests to their nationwide forum. It's a good coalition. It taps you into a network of conservative talk radio.
We DID post there.

"I believe he would have added the DC rally to his agenda had he been asked."
Um, hello. We had our rally listed there. And then NEWSMAX.com picked up on that and previewed our rally from there.
That happened. I know you're trying to help, but so far there's not one concrete suggestion here that isn't something we actually did. We *really* tried to get through to Rush. I wonder if his screener or Rush likes to have rally promotions get through to him. I think you have to have a contact "in" for that show, perhaps. Many people were speeddialing a lot, no success.
