C-SPAN ^ | Sunday, March 2, 2003 | Kristinn

Posted on 03/02/2003 5:36:42 AM PST by kristinn

Shiver along with the D.C. Chapter, FReepers from across the country, other patriotic Americans and Iraqi exiles as C-SPAN broadcasts the Patriots Rally For America IV today at 1:05 p.m.

Recorded yesterday at the cold, fog-shrouded, snow-covered grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally held to support our troops, President Bush and the American policy on Iraq features former Rep. Bob Dornan, Aziz Al-Taee, Blanquita Cullum, John Armor, James Parmelee, Kevin Martin, Adam Ramey and yours truly.

Also featured are singers Cullen Martin, Stephanie Souders and, from Nashville, Lowell Shyette.

The program, if shown in it's entirety, should run three hours and fifteen minutes.

Get some hot chocolate ready, pop some popcorn, put on your red, white and blue sweaters and get ready to root for the home team: the men and women serving in our Armed Forces.

EAGLES UP !!!

You said it, Race! I'm always amazed that we get little or NO support from Rush, Sean, et al. Media attention is the key.

Thanks for posting this picture.

Daughter... look closely at hole_n_one's screen capture in reply 192; you are a star! (But your mom always knew that.)

Summer soldiers and sunshine patriots come to mind.

"Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country" is not just a typing exercise.

{{{'Pod}}} Absolutely none taken.

I'm with you. I'm disappointed but I don't know what else we could have done.

Leafletting creates a tenuous relationship that good weather breaks. There were lots of times that someone had a good 5-minute conversation with me about how excited they were and how they were definitely, definitely coming -- but then 8 inches of snow and they didn't. Such as it is.

Repubic says: some many of the military guys near the Pentagon that we leafletted were so grateful to us. Those leaflets weren't wasted in that sense. They knew what we were doing for them. She's right!

So I agree with you, 'Pod, as, you know, I usually do. ;)

I am not sure. Us activists on the conservative side are spread thin. Too many tasseled loafer types ;-)

I have been watching! I started watching when the Iraqies were on stage. I am so very proud of the DC chapter. I am also very pleased with C-span for showing this.

Earlier on c-span I watched the morality of war. The minister who supported Bush was great. However, I got ill with all the ANSWER phone bank callers who all had to say some sarcastic remark about democracy. Their talking points were like they came off the same paper. Those people need medication in a bad way.

Let's all remember, though, Terri was one of the originals that stood outside the Capital durig impeachment, and was present in Philly when she and her brother got attacked by the union mobs.

I am grateful for her effots then, but she knows better, everyone of these rallies ARE planned to be big rallies, only NOT ONE right wing talk show host stood up for us, and it is only this last rally that i heard Sean Hannity announce it other than letting one or 2 persons speak on the phone to him and then no mention any other time.

If we had the support of right wing radio, we would get a good response.

Rallies aren't too genteel for the GOP masses, though.

'Pod, this post is so non-construtive it's not worth listening to. People who actually *do* work get to say things like that. Not armchair cyberspace warriors. I'd laugh that off with: why don't YOU do a big rally, take your own advice and you come get people to come out in 17 degree weather with windchill in the thousands with no local conservative talk radio, just syndicated. There's an idea. Why don't YOU do it. Hee hee.

For the rest of the peanut gallery, I note that the CSPAN pan of the crowd went from the stage (at 6 o'clock) to the monument (at 12 o'clock), 180 degrees. It didn't do the other half.

Well I wear heels when appropriate and Timberland boots when necessary;) I will make it my business to contact Savage consistently until he proves he is yet another Limbaugh.

Keep me up to date.

"I don't see why Americans couldn't"

I tried. You didn't. I don't see why Americans couldn't, either, but it would require people like you to do actual work rather than just whine.

Like one lady, a nurse from Baltimore, MD, said to the Washington Times in our fantastic press coverage there: "I don't think you can say you're supporting President Bush if you're just sitting in your living room."

I expect you to help promote our next rally, Terri. Either that, or you're a hypocrite.

Nutmeg! Hi!! Do you see where Bob Dornan mentions the DC Chapter's flag guide of the flags of hate and violence (like the Hezbollah flag) that the leftist fly at their so-called peace rallies? I gave him that at the press table and talked it up! :)

Bump for a Press Table With (OK, Maybe Somethings Too Much) Attitude!
