I stopped reading after "the UN's special envoy..."

UN definition of AIDS is any one with low T cell count.

If you have hepetitus, dengue fever, flu, etc, you have low T cell count. Combine this with a case of dysentery and Viola!!!!!!, You've got AIDS.

Try this test at home folks.....next time you get a serious case of the Flu, go to a local gym and have a rigorous workout for about an hour.....then get AIDS tested....Presto, just like majic, by the UN's definition of AIDS, you're now a carrier of that "disease".

Read the UN's clinical deinition of AIDS before you think the situation is so bad. AIDS in Africa is caused by corrupt governments. It's a money sucking scheme at best.

Actually, I've challenged anyone here on this site to post a clinical definition of AIDS for a while now....no takers so far.

The medicl establishment can't seem to come to a consensus as far as what "AIDS" actually is.

HIV is a whole different story, no one has die yet of having HIV.....I guess that's for another post though.....

To think that there are "leaders" who want reparations because their ancestors were taken away from there.

I have seen people (not on this site!) make hilarious claims in that regards. One fellow said that Africa was a thriving, advanced continent, up until about the 1600's. Then, the evil Whites showed up, shipped hundreds of millions of slaves to America and de-populated the continent. Poor Africa has not yet recovered from this terrible event.

I swear leftists are delusional and clinically insane.

Africa doesn't need money aid as much as it needs GOD and some sex education. AIDS does not discriminate. If you want to lower your risk you must change your behavior. Someone needs to tell em that.

"Is it, then, that Africans are simply more immoral, that African society is just too casual?"

"She can hop on a minibus and travel to a different part of Zambia, where she is a stranger. There she will make herself as attractive as she can, then slip into a local bar. She will pretend to be drunk, find a drunken man, and have quick casual sex with him. By making love to a stranger, she will ensure that the ghost of her husband leaves her and follows the man — as indeed may the Aids virus."

"They call it their secret society. In future years, when one such boy visits the home of another, he will be offered, and be expected to accept, the sexual use of his host’s wife. This is not considered adulterous, as long as the husband is present throughout."

"Health workers and other concerned people are well aware of how deeply these three fatal customs are woven into the fabric of Zambian society. Intensive efforts are being made to eradicate them, but like so many things in African society, any change at all is a long time coming."

"More American cash will, of course, buy more anti-retroviral drugs, which could save many lives and extend others."

Wel there you have it. More of my money is going to solve their problem.

It's interesting to see how often such delusion thinking codistributes with poor spelling and grammar.

This is beyond rational thinking. Sneeze in Africa and it will be blamed on HIV for which to US needs to spend billions of dollars to fight.

Malaria and other diseases? Poisoning?

No. Everyone dies only of AIDS no matter what.

But, it is beyond discussion or rational thought at this time.

They did stop these apocalypse scenarios here in the US because it is obvious huge numbers of people are not being done in by the "new plague" as we were promised would happen in the 1980's.

But in remote mysterious places, rest assured, there will be and are AIDS epidemics aplenty.

No, they're dying of the same things that have killed people in Africa for millenia: "malaria or pneumonia or TB". The AIDS lobby at the UN says that "..the ruthless syndrome (AIDS) lies behind almost all the fatalities. " Not, of course, the coincidental fact that all of Africa lives under one form of despotic socialism or annother, with no semblence even of the rule of law as protection.

What Africa needs is more capitalism, and guidance down the road to the rule of law. What they've been asking for, and getting, is baksheesh for the cleptocracy, and misery for the people.

Read the article. It very clearly states what they are dying of:

"malaria or pneumonia or TB".

Deadly diseases and scourges of Africa all long before there was AIDS or HIV.

So if "AIDS" is phony, WHY ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE DYING AT ACCELERATING RATES? The fact that diagnosis is difficult and imprecise does not mean that AIDS is not real.

The BirthPlace of Civilization????? Civilization???? Think Malthus! People die all over the world every stinking day. That they die in Africa is nothing special.
Not to mention, HIV does not cause AIDs, and AIDs is not a sexually transmittable disease.

Thanks for posting this article. It drives me crazy the way everyone wants to be concerned about "AIDS in Africa," but nobody in the medical and scientific or journalistic worlds seems to have enough curiousity to ask the question "WHY?" "Why" is AIDS so much more prevalent in Africa?

It aggravates me that no one seems to care about researching root causes. Is it in the water? In the food? in genetics? In peculiar sex practice? what practice(s)? Why is it that a Bono can get all worked up, but NOT CARE about causes? Is this just about "feeling good about our own sympathetic attitudes?"

This is the FIRST time I have ever read in mainstream (?) press anything expressing an attempt to answer the question "WHY?"

Why has the word "responsibility" not been mentioned by the principles in the African/AIDS fight? I know, it's not p.c. to ask people to change their immoral behavior.
