Father, we thank you that you blessed the world with such men as these. We pray for their families, and we thank you that you hold them all in the palm of your hand.

Afghanistan: Blast Reportedly Kills Special Forces Group - Feb 24, 2003

Unconfirmed reports from Afghanistan on Feb. 24 say that a number of U.S. Special Forces "officials" were killed after an explosion occurred under their vehicle. The group was traveling in the provice of Zarmat. New sources have conflicting information about the exact number of fatalities. Initial reports were that 10 Americans were in the double-cab vehicle and that all were killed. Reports from the Daily Islam and the Pakistan-based Daily Ausaf, which have been translated and posted by jihadunspun.com, did not say whether the vehicle was destroyed by an explosive device placed under the vehicle or if the it struck a landmine.

Prayers for our fallen heroes and for the strength that their families will need.

We ask the Lord, Our Father to guide these heroes home to Him to be forever in the warm embrace of His loving arms. Please may the families know that we, as Americans, are eternally grateful for the sacrifices made to ensure our freedom. We ask this in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
