Christopher Walken is one of a kind. His acting technique is absolutely idiosyncratic and he has an amazingly deft touch in comic roles.

Dogs of War. Only saw it once - in the theater- so a long time ago, my dad took me to see it. I don't remeber it well but I remember I liked it a lot- and I'm a girl.

Walken was a Broadway child star. Yes, he had dance lessons and he can dance. The taps, on SNL, however, were phony.

Hollywood didn't ever really know quite what to do with him, so they have always cast him in weird/villain roles, because of his looks and because unlike most, he is a good actor

I finally saw "Catch Me If You Can" yesterday, and I loved it! I agree with you: Walken as the father was superb casting. He did a great job of gradually revealing the sadness that lay beneath the character's bravado. It's an excellent, thoroughly entertaining movie, with great performances all around.

The funny thing is stultis Tina is no liberal she may have to play one on tv but she is also the head snl writer and writes up many of the anti-lefty skits you see. Her mother actually worked for Dubya's campaign.

walken had a big dance number in the movie pennies from heaven with steve martin.
a friend told me he grew up with him in astoria queens and the mom & dad had a bakery.
said he was weird then. glad to see he made a career out of it.

Walken was always funny; I remember seeing him on an old episode of Saturday Night Live on a trip to America. He was great in one of those "It's Pat" sketches, and where he commits suicide because he can't figure out if Pat is a man or a woman. ;)

Lol I had that reaction too, till I saw the snl mothers day special in 2001 as well as her appearance on Connan O'Brien afterward basically confirming what I heard about her beforehand.
