A rally in support of the men and women of the United States Armed Services attracted thousands of participants. The event was held downtown at Monument Circle at noon on Saturday.
"We want our fighting men and women to know we are behind them," said the event's organizer, Rob Greene.
David McIntosh, a 2004 Candidate for Governor, also spoke at the rally. Other featured speakers include State Senator Luke Kenley and Indiana's most decorated Marine, Don Myers.
Hoosiers from across the state attended the rally.

The peaceniks are having temper tantrums over this. Poor baby's want to counter rally. They never grow up!! They really deluded themselves into thinking that they were the majority. SORRY FOLKS THE ANTI-GOVERNMENT COMMUNIST THINKING OF THE 60'S IS OVER!!! Watch out for counter anti-american rallys from these guys. They can't stand it when their thunder is taken away.

The peaceniks are having temper tantrums over thisI would pay money to see this.
They threw a fit over the turn out for our rally last Sat. We had 100 people show up and they were mad that the media even reported on us at all. They kept saying that we only had 30 people there and *whine, whine whine*....

I was at both rallies. The peacenik rally was reported to have had 450 people. We definitely had more than the peaceniks did last weekend . The police ended up blocking part of the circle from traffic because of the crowd. It will be interesting to see what it reported by the media. It didn't last as long as the peaceniks who were there even after 2:30.
It was pouring down rain and cold but the group showed up. Had a VFW fire truck there too. There was a Purdue bus that was playing music through speakers and it appeared they had intended to circle the circle but that didn't happen since the police blocked part of it off.

By the way, I am not sure I would call it thousands. I am not good at estimating crowds but there was probably at least a thousand

The article actually says hundreds of participants. Interesting to note that the time line on it is 12:05 pm which is around when it started. I saw Channel 13 there the whole time..and that was the only one I saw there for the whole rally. So watch their station to see what they do with the coverage.

WHAT we need to do is hold a rally against the HollyWERIDOS!! We need to let those BASTARD know that we are pissed off and we ain't taking nomore!! The 60's are over and the damage these A**HOLES are doing to our military is UNFORGIVABLE!! Read Jaime Lee Curtis come out lashing at our president and the war. DON'T THESE FREAKIN BASTARDS KNOW that the only people they are hurting is our service folk over there!! WE NEED TO SEND A CLEAR MESSAGE to these UNHOLY bastards..TO STFU!! I heard there is a petition AGAINST hollywood, circulating around the net, so far they have collected 27,000 signatures, their aim is for over 150-200,000 by Wed. I don't know the website, but if anyone here knows it, please post it!! C'MON LETS DO IT!!

great idea.
Since ya'll cannot protest in Baghdad, ya'll can protest at Universal Studios, or other studios in Hollywood. Carry signs that say "Either you're with us, or against us."

Good idea!
We plan to use a similar theme when the Hollywood Resistance Force (also known as the LA Chapter of the Free Republic Network) holds our pro-USA rally at the Academy Awards/Oscars at the Kodak Theatre in HOLLYWOOD on Sunday, March 23.
More details soon, after we hold our pro-USA rally at the L.A. Marathon - THIS Sunday, March 2 - from 10 am to noon - at the Dome Village, near the Staples Center.
