Iraq. In 1991 we had 500,000 troops in and around Iraq. President George H.W. Bush decided on a strategy of containment, not overthrow. No need to go ONE WORD FURTHER......it's a damn lie.

It was Clinton -- taking a firm stand, as opposed to the current confused posture of the United States -- who froze North Korea's plutonium production operation. Were it not for Clinton's leadership, North Korea would have enough plutonium to make at least 50 nuclear bombs today. Freakin' unbelievable!

One big lobbying firm in Washington during the Clinton years was known as Podesta.com. The firm's name partner, Anthony Podesta, is the brother of Clinton White House chief of staff John Podesta. Another principal at the firm, according to the Associated Press, was Jeff Ricchetti, brother of the deputy White House chief of staff, Steve Ricchetti.

Iraq. In 1991 we had 500,000 troops in and around Iraq. President George H.W. Bush decided on a strategy of containment, not overthrow. During the Clinton years, military force was deployed against Iraq on four occasions, including an intensive four-day air campaign in 1998 that significantly set back Iraq's program of weapons of mass destruction. As a result of the Clinton administration's efforts -- the combination of sanctions, strong enforcement of the no-fly zone and military action -- the Iraq our troops face today is far weaker than it was a decade ago.

died at the hands of foreign terrorists during the Reagan administration, including 241 Marines at barracks in Lebanon Reagan was fighting the Cold War at the time. What was Clinton fighting during the 90's that kept him so ineffective....oh, yes, the Monica Battle.

A TOTAL LIE.
The almighty United Nations decided that miltary action was only allowed to free Kuwait, not overthrow Saddam.
Steve Ricchetti is a sad little prevaricator of a man.

The industry added some impressive revolving door lobbyists to its roster last year. For example, Ronna Freiberg, who was legislative director for former Vice President Al Gore, lobbied for five drug industry clients in 2001.Steve Ricchetti, who was deputy chief of staff for ex-President Bill Clinton, had three drug industry clients last year.
Scum. Thank God the Post relegated this buttboy's spewage to the Saturday edition, where nobody will read it.

we should be serious about serious things. . . like the difference between pettifoggery and honorable behavior. Saddam's shell game with Hans Blix is compliance with the terms of the armistace Saddam agreed to, in exactly the same way that "the meaning of 'is'" was Mr. Clinton's way of taking "care that the laws be faithfully executed."

Ummmm, OK it would take too long to go through this column point by point and I'd be preaching to a choir that knows better than I do.
I am outraged over this Clinton didn't spend two years blaming the previous administration.
Clinton did blame the previous administration for every domestic issue while ignoring foreign policy - it's the economy, stupid - remember? I don't remember GHWB running around during Clinton's first two years undermining everything Clinton tried to do. Clinton IS doing that and deserves to be blamed for his failures.
I don't remember GWB blaming Clinton for anything, in fact, I remember militant restraint at saying anything disparaging about the Clinton administration from the vandalism in the White House to corruption in government, industry, and treaty violations and sale of secrets. Each issue Bush faced publicly with a "buck stops here" type of leadership. Spectacularly courageous when compared to Clinton's first two years where the buck stopped everywhere else - to include in the Justice Dept. when Waco burned.
Whew! Feel better now.
