I'm guessing there was no sprinkler system in this building.
I guess that would depend on the local fire codes. If the codes called for it, the club would've had to have had one or it never would've been allowed to open.

I love that list.
If you want to list all the groups that are politically incorrect, don't you need to add the boy scouts?

"I guess that would depend on the local fire codes. If the codes called for it, the club would've had to have had one or it never would've been allowed to open."
No sprinklers. They weren't required, due to the small size of the club. They might have helped, though. If I owned a place like that, I'd have _major_ sprinklers...to protect my investment, if nothing else.

There is the possibilty that our defenses have kept them from being able to pull-off such a spectacular event, thus they may target less "sexy" targets since that's what they can currently manage. I can't figure out what purpose a "terror" attack serves if no one recognizes it as a terror attack. It seems to me when they strike, we will know. God forbid.

Ah, but the fact that you were quick to add the nightclub fire undermines your statement of suspicion (since we know for certain that it was not an act of terrorism).

no sprinkler system in The Station (RI club) -- building was just under the footage to be required to have one

They interviewed an employee of a club they'd played at recently. They used the same pyrotechnics at that club. They didn't get permission and scared the hell out of the club employees. It was a well known club, but I forget the name. I don't buy that for one minute. You can't miss those things on a stage. This guy is lying to cover for the owner of the nightclub that burned.

If you want to list all the groups that are politically incorrect, don't you need to add the boy scouts?Good point - since the libs consider us all to be terrorists, I gotta cast a wider net:
I really don't think that Al Qaeda, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, Al-Gama'a al-Islamiyya, Harakat ul-Mujahidin, Hizballah, the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Kahane Chai, the IRA, Shining Path, Aum Shinrikyo, the Japanese Red Army, the Kurdistan Workers' Party, National Liberation Army of Colombia, FARC, Revolutionary People's Struggle, the Tupac Amaru Revolutionary Movement, the Tamil Tigers, ETA, Earth Liberation Front, the New Black Panthers, Aryan Nations, the Boy Scouts, the NRA, Gun Owners of America, the John Birch Society, the 700 Club, Focus on the Family, Free Republic, CPAC, the Federalist Society, the Heritage Foundation or the Republican Party figured out how to infiltrate an over-the-hill rock band to torch a third-rate roadhouse.
This is getting to be a lot of work, this joke business.

can't figure out what purpose a "terror" attack serves if no one recognizes it as a terror attack. Seems to me there was at least some question in the minds of people here if it was terrorism/an attack. Torching three refineries in one day would certainly cut down on our supply of petroleum products. Our country is a big consumer of such products. Sounds like an effective target to me. Perhaps not necessarily "terrorism", but certainly a valid war tactic.

Nice rant. I'd like to say the same about industrial accidents. I think a terrorist would go after a tank farm, not a barge sitting in water. Tank farm fires cause a lot more damage.

ATTENTION ALL KOOKs: It's an ordinary TRASH fire, happens all the time. Please remove the tin foil from your head, it's obviously affecting your brain functions and then consider enrolling in an elementary statistics class to help clear your thinking.

That's what I was thinking, you know, who's that radical group which set the SUV's on fire?

"the shark attack stories of a couple of summers ago, it might simply be a normal number of events that
are suddenly getting media attention and therefore get noticed for a change." I thought the two fatal
attacks that occurred one day apart was very bizarre. One near Va Beach and the other in North
Carolina. Shark attacks in these areas don't happen very often.
