We the undersigned American Citizens stand against Wealthy Hollywood Celebrities abusing their status to speak for us. We do not believe that they have a clear understanding of how we live, what we fear, and what we support. We believe that celebrities Martin Sheen, Mike Farrell, Tim Robbins, Rob Reiner, Barbara Streisand, and others with them are using their celebrity to interfere with the defense of our country. We believe that Hollywood Celebrities use their wealth to make their own personal issues known while Americans would never have the resources to speak out in this manner. We support President Bush in his efforts to defend our homeland, to defend democracy, and to take any measures to end the threat of terrorism. We do not claim to know more than anyone, especially President Bush. We elect a President who we can trust to make proper decisions based on facts available to him and not available to the rest of us. This is one reason trustworthiness and character is important in the people we elect into office. War is not easy, there are many before us who sacrificed their lives for freedom and if supporting citizens in other countries who cry out for democracy and freedom aids in the war against terrorism we support it.
This Statement and its signatures will be published publicly and or delivered to Martin Sheen and Mike Farrell.

Being in the Entertainment industry myself, I feel compelled to speak out on account of the few conservatives in the industry. I'm sick and tired of these ill-informed celebrities speaking for the industry and the American public. They are using their celebrity status to spread lies and propoganda concerning Iraq. It's time we stand up and fight against them. Sign the petition and if you can, donate. Let's also buy a bus and ship all of them to another country since they are so unhappy with America.

A petition just shows them you are paying attention to them. When they talk turn the channel so that you don't accidently hear what is being advertised which is what is paying for the show. You might accidently go buy the soap that just paid to show you the hollywood pundit spewing.

EXACTLY! Signing anything that would acknowledge
that they are worth thinking about is a mistake.
They are to be ignored.

Oh come on!
Look what saying nothing has gotten us?
They are the spokesmen for us whether we
like it or not. Other countries think we
all agree with Martin Sheen. If we do nothing,
they have the power. We must rebut.

Great petition. I'll sign it if you'll correct the spelling of Barbra Streisand's name. :-)
Yeah, if you leave the extra 'A' (traditional spelling) in, it'd be a nice little jab at Babs. However, it was she who was recently in the spotlight for misspelling names. (In her memos to Gephardt and the rest during 2002 election cycle, wasn't it?)
And then there's the possibility they'll dig up the "potatoe" thing of VP Dan Quayle's and make an association between conservatives and intelligence. They would then make THAT the issue that gets all the publicity and thus nullify any effectiveness of our petition. It's how they think. It's how they appear to win, so we need to be a step ahead of 'em.
