I just turned and looked out my office window and saw a column of black smoke rising towards Union Beach/Perth Amboy NJ.
I then felt the force of an explosion rattle my window.

I see the free thought and free speech police are out in force again. Jack booted Bush-bots really hate anyone who doesn't completely agree with their agenda. Very scary people.

However you are making assumptions on what happened at the refinery from the comfort of your televisions set. To be fair - so are you

It's more about the timing for me at least. If these types of "Accidents" were spaced far apart, like maybe two or three a year, instead of 6-7 in less than three weeksYour problem here, is that you fail to understand that these things happen all the time in the oilfield, but you and the media failed to take note in the past. This is a dangerous industry and things happen all the time ... pipelines blow up, chemical fires, refineries catch fire, ships sink, wells blow out, rig's collapse, sink, burn.....

"The absolute WORST of FR..." are often an amusing bunch. ;^)
Except for the Gold Bugs...they're not just amusing, they're laughable.
Wait a minute...I didn't mean it to come out that way...;^)

"Funny how some people label you as a Jihad supporter by taking a different position." Walp - if you are NOT a jihad sympathiser, why are you acting like one?

I have been linking information from other things to make a connection, if any. That is how open forums work. When people actively try to squelch that, especially when it concerns activities that could harm Americans, I question it.
All you do is jump in and mock us as "tin-foil" types.

"Let's engage in some intelligent speculation.. Assume, if you will, that the FBI, or Tom Ridge, ( and BTW) shouldn't he be involved givwen that there have been several explosions today) announces that examination of the barge indicates strongly that it was sabotage. What happens next? "What happens next is what should have been done to begin with.
(1) Fire that POS Mineta and start profiling the folks who need to be profiled at airports.
(2) Start really doing something about the sieve we call our borders so as not to let in the people who would do us harm.
(3) Remove/jail all the Terrorist groups and their sympathizers instead of giving them free reign until they actually kill more of us.
(4) Cut out the PC garbage that says we should consider all Muslims our friends.ISLAM is not a religion of peace.
That's a good start.

Show me where I said it was terrorist related. That's stupid to say people say things they never said.

it could be anything
Most likly not terrorism.
But I disagree with those that dismiss it out of hand and make fun of those that do not.

I couldn't agree more except for a few small deviations:
#1: This was not an oil field.
#2: This was not an oil rig in the ocean.
#3: This occurred under (otherwise) strict controlled conditions with strinent safety precautions enforced at all times.
#4: This has NEVER occurred before at this location - EVER.
#5: We are at war with Islamic terrorists (much to the disliking of this fact being presented as being even a far or distant factor).
#6: Accessability was high.
#7: (Possible) Target was a critical asset.
#8: (Possible) Targets in the immediate area were greater than the target hit.
#9: (Possible) Targets not hit could have been the PRIMARY targets.
#10: National security threat/terrorist alert is high.

Jack booted Bush-bots ... Richard, would you give me a definition for that term, especially the 'Bush-bots' reference?

Wrong, oh great knower of all things. As to your assumption number 4, a barge blew up here in the 90s, but without such a large fire. I know because I live here. Where are you that you know so much?

Show me where I said it was terrorist related. That's stupid to say people say things they never said. This is your entire post:
2 nightclub incidents, 2 explosions in just a couple days.
The implication is obvious.
And save the "I was just making an observation" response. Your intent was clear.

Well you have created a nice list there. I would make a bet with you that it turns out to be an accident ...... however I'm not sure that ANYTHING will convince you of that ..... and I never make bets that I have NO chance of wining.
Stay safe.

I have to respectfully disagree with our President about how we approach terrorism here at home. I will certainly be cautious, but I have no intention of "reporting" anything to the "authorities."
I'll deal with it myself, since I'm certain that I'd be more competent than anyone in the FBI, CIA, INS, etc.

"As to your assumption number 4, a barge blew up here in the 90s, but without such a large fire. I know because I live here." OK - good.
Thanks for that. And since you live there, and one blew up sometime in the decade of the 90's there can be no possible connection to today's ongoing concerns, correct?
