Sorry no one baked you cherry pies for Presidents Day but George's real birthday is 2/22 or something like that so we can still celebrate.

As I am sure you know, the reason we have cherry pie on George's birthday is because he chopped a cherry tree down when he was just a lad and did not lie about it when his Dad asked him "who chopped down the cherry tree"....so when I was but a lass the impression I got from my teacher was if you lie you won't ever be president. Of course, that lesson is not taught now because of you know who but it is still fun to have a cherry pie on Washington's birthday, doncha think.

I also recieved a copy of the Washington Times. I ordered it from an unknown person called Angelwood. She sent it priority mail. I was so thankful that someone would be so nice to a complete stranger except for the Free Republic Camaraderie.

It is this camaraderie among Freepers that is our Strength.

One of my "alternate personalities" collects silly smileys. I have about 50 or so of them. Was heartbroken when Domania crashed and I lost them all, but had fun re-collecting them! :-)

Well, it's a cute one. Meekie also has a lot of smileys, and I've used some of his. :) Though I think his are all the yellow variety! (and no arms and legs) LOL!
