Rock and Roll Hall of Fame site cancelled for business reasons, (RRHoF has business arrangements with recording artists, Sheryl Crow was specifically mentioned), and in addition, the capacity of RRHoF building is limited.
I heard this on WTAM1100AM (Cleveland) during my drive home tonight on the Mike Trivisonno show. Mike had a phone conversation with Glenn Beck. Glenn's comment about R&R, "I'm not surprised!"
Glenn will talk about this tomorrow (Friday), on his show, and hopefully, a venue will be located!

Didn't the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame just get a Government earmark?

Well, I've never been there, and now plan to never go!
There's the Federal center, I think that's the name....fairly large plaza area, isn't it?

We received
free tickets from a friend, and the best description I can give of the displays is, "It's like looking at someone's garbage!"
There's even a video hit piece on early Republicans, as well!

Please people, never go there anyhow. I went in the summer of 2001 and was thoroughly disappointed. Horrible exhibits, for example, hardly any Led Zeppelin or Who that I saw, as well as no KISS. How can you have a R&R museum without KISS? Also, to get in the museum, they make you watch a film, kids included, that glorifies the Rock and Roll lifestyle (sex and drugs). I thought it was pretty tasteless. Anyhow, when I went, tickets were $15 each, which was a rip-off. We (7 20-somethings year olds) went next door to the children's fun center or whatever. I think it cost like $5 to $7 and was way more fun. Also, we got to see Everest on IMAX. Talk about amazing. Anyhow, that was my opinion on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Oh, we stayed at a pretty decent downtown hotel in Cleveland. Talk about a trashy city. Wow. Probably the most depressing big city downtown I have ever been to. Most of the time, when cities get new sports venues it enriches the area. If Cleveland was enriched by its new facilities, WOW. It must have looked like Ramallah before. I wouldn't say Clevelend Rocks, I would say Clevelend S*cks! I like Columbus though.

Thanks for the info. I'll be in Cleveland on Monday and had planned to stop by the Rock Hall in the afternoon.

we went to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last summer. It was a total waste of time. I realized quickly that I like rock and roll music, but I don't much like rock and roll performers.
The most exciting thing for us was that they were having a power boat race in the bay and you could watch it from the rrhof windows.

Someone needs to get a hold of Drew Carey and get this event back on!
He is on our side on this and I am sure he knows enough Rockers on our side too. We cannot let Cheryl Crowe win this! I have been to the RRHoF and it is plenty big enough for this. They have had plenty of gatherings the size of the one that will show up for this one in the past.
CALL TED NUGENT TOO!

here is what I mailed to the director of RRHofF
I just read that you cancelled out on the Freedom for America Rally.
I was looking forward to finally visiting the Hall of Fame but if you think supporting the favor of the likes of Sheryl Crow rather than our President, the military and our great nation, you will never see the hard-earned American money from my pocket book.
