The people who signed that petition were defending Al-Arian's academic freedom. He was suspended for attracting bad press to the university.

If Sami were innocent now that would be a witch-hunt, his own denials dont equal innocence.

Nice try. The people who signed the reinstatement petition consisted of the usual America haters & useful idiots who have no understanding of the world because they learned history from left wing professors.

Academic freedom?
Chanting "Death to Israel!" is academic freedom?
Try "Hate Crime" according to the hate crimes bill.
Defend someone else, someone more worthy of defense.

Disagree. The people who signed that petition were either terrorist sympathyzers or tender-minded dupes of terrorist.

alArian and his gang are murderous thugs. Real witches should be hunted... and destroyed.

Are you new to this country? Nobody has a "right" to a job. He can speak freely all he wants - he doesn't have the "right" to draw a paycheck from a subsidized university while doing it.

The people who signed that petition were defending Al-Arian's academic freedom. Of course they did. After all, he's only a high-ranking international terrorist with the blood of hundreds of innocent people on his hands.
I mean, it isn't like he opposed affirmative action or anything.

The people who signed that petition were defending Al-Arian's academic freedom. He was suspended for attracting bad press to the university. Now the CIA and the FBI have him in their clutches. You think Sami is blameless? The man is a fundraiser for violent Islamic movements.

Shut up idiot. The left stifles right wing students and professors. The scummy left hires only it's own. That's why English departments are infested with feminists, post colonialists, deconstructionists, neo-Marxists and all kinds of nouveau commie "professors" and teaching assistants.
Check out the freaks in the English department of Harvard university you hypocrite!

I believe this guy was suspended for chanting "Death to Jews...Death to Isreal" during a speech at a public rally. To me that's the same as attending a Klan rally dressed in sheets and cheering while a cross burns. In either instance you are dealing with a villian who has crossed the line from academic freedom to inciting hated and violence.

He was suspended for attracting bad press to the university. No, he was suspended for getting his hand caught in the proverbial cookie jar. The University did the only thing they could to prevent getting caught up in the wash of charges themselves - distance themselves from him, and quickly. I don't blame them.

Fundraising for Islamic Jihad and Hamas is academic freedman?
Setting up front groups recruiting IJ agents is academic freedom?
Training the future head of operations for Islamic Jihad is covered by academic freedom?

Exactly, Jack.
You other people should really put all this energy for hatred toward something positive. You might really do some good.
Murdering terrorist? Who did he murder? The immigration judge and the University and everyone else looking for actual evidence can't say that he is a terrorist. Anti-American? For speaking his mind? Since when is that anti-American? Maybe he is not a Republican and you sometimes get that confused with being anti-American. I forgive you.
