Wheareas Miguel Estrada has not been confirmed, FreeRepublic will stand tall for this nominee, until the day when Estrada is finally able to take his oath.

I just emailed Frist and told him to push for Estrada now that the war is winding down.

Frist's homepage says the senate may consider Priscilla Owen and Jeffrey Sutton, two conservatives for nominations. Expect more filibustering.

bob graham is travelling the country for himself, but he won't take the time to address the Senate judicial quaigmire.

Check out this Pro-Estrada editorial in the Miami Herald (Graham's hometown!)

http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/opinion/5301721.htm

Bob Graham, ESTRADA deserves a VOTE!!!

Email Senator Bob Graham -- http://www.senate.gov/~graham/email.html

Write Bob Graham 524 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, D.C. 20510

Call Bob Graham Phone (202) 224-3041 --

Fax Bob Graham Fax (202) 224-2237

Just do it now!

I have finally gotten a reply from my Senator, Schumer, (by email) after a month and a half.

I heard from Sen. Allen (by snailmail) more than a month ago.

For future reference, I have added the keyword "senatorialreply" to a few of the Estrada threads which seem to have replies from particular senators.

A search on the keyword "senatorialreply" will bring up those threads which have replies.

It could be useful to compare how the individual senators explained their stances to their constituents. We can see which senators are least direct, which lie the most, which repeat worn out platitudes the most, etc.

We'll also be able to recognize the senatorial heroes in this fight.

Now the Dems are trying to filibuster Priscilla Owen. They will claim she was already "rejected" last year...

Syriacus, this is going to be a long fight, but we have to hang in there. I just emailed Frist, Hatch, Kyl, Santorum, Allen, Bill Nelson, and Bob Graham.

Good work. You're right that it will be a long fight. We have to fight against discouragement, too.

Anyone who wants to learn more detail about the treatment of Miguel Estrada in the Senate can get it all at the following address: be sure to read some of the earlier articles to get the full picture of just how hypocritical the actions of the Senate Democrats are.
This is a list of articles by Byron York in the National Review. You can get more info faster by reading York's articles than you can anywhere else I've found.

Thanks for posting that link to the results of a search on NRO. I read the first 7 or so columns. They are concise and clear.

thanks for the activism, that's why I made the thread!

Here's a link to another thread that shows a LOT of the Estrada threads about filibusters, obstruction, etc.

The lead article is how the Democrats use religious litmus tests to block judges from the Wall Street today, 4/22/03.
