[history]
The French poet Paul Valery once observed that intellectuals, when they run out of serious things to say, end up by flashing their genitals to get attention. With the coming launch of her new antiwar music video, one could argue that Madonna has reversed the process. As Dennis Miller said about her in a recent interview with Phil Donahue, "after you've shown every orifice from every angle, you might have to make a political statement to get people reinterested in you."

Right on target. Has beens trying to stay relevant.
It's just so amazing that they think wearing glasses will convince us!

Edward Norton particularly sickened me, because he's one of my favorite actors.

Hollywood is not loyal to America, since 70% of their profits come from overseas.

I would boycott them but I already don't buy their music, don't go to their movies, don't buy products the advertise for etc. I hope Miller Lite doesn't hire Susan Sarandumb. "Taste right no substance" could be their slogan

Great article. I recall, when I was a "young skull full of mush" as Rush calls the "youts" of America, I was a big fan of the group Chicago. I recall their third album had a pledge in it they made to the "revolution and the people of the revolution." I remember that the statement made my miltary father angry, but I didn't really get what it was all about until I was older.
A few weeks ago, I saw Chicago on TV, playing on a military base to an enthusiastic crowd, with a big American flag draped behind them. Knowing their past, I smiled. I guess they finally grew up. Too bad the old hippy crowd, the Joan Baez and Dylan crowd hasn't grown up yet. When they were young and foolish, their peers perceived them as wise. Today, we've wised up and they just come across as old and foolish.

If airheaded celebs didn't pontificate on world affairs, the networks would be incapable of finding a 'story hook' to grab the attention of the great creeping meatball that is their 'audience'.
Half of the 'audience' only cares where France is because M. Baldwin might move there.

Not "half their audience." Only the 43 percent that voted for Clinton twice.

Gee, where can I get a subscription? It would be great to roll this up like a newspaper and hit one of these idiots on the nose like a dog. -Regards, T.

"43%"
Right. I stand corrected.
The other 57% is either at the fridge or looking for 'The Man Show' and/or golf highlights.

Edward Norton particularly sickened me, because he's one of my favorite actors. Yeah, I love it when he makes fun of Ralph Kramden's weight. But I wonder how he learned foreign policy working in the sewer. Very disappointing to see him trying to seem like his opinion matters.

You've answered your own question: it's obvious that Ed Norton DID learn everything he knows about foreign policy in the sewer.

The irrelevance of Hollywood liberals is yet another reason for liberals to hate Ronald Reagan. Reagan changed the national mindset from one of incessantly apologizing for the United States to one of taking pride in this great country and understanding that without question it is the greatest country on earth. Their frustration stems from the lack of people that matter wallowing in shame as they choose to do. All they are left with are socialists / communists / "progressives" who are entirely devoid logical thought.
