Gephardt: Elect Me I'll Raise Your Taxes!

Didn't Dick Gephardt learn anything from his previous failed run for the Democrat presidential nomination? He's making you an offer you can refuse: Elect him and he'll raise your taxes.

Oh, and he'll shove that failed Canadian-style socialized medicine down your throat, too.

"Without the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy, we can finish the unfinished business of providing high-quality health coverage to everyone who works in America, saving billions and stimulating one of the biggest sectors of our private economy," Gephardt fantasized today in St. Louis. He whined that President Bush's tax relief for all taxpayers was "unaffordable, unsustainable and patently unfair."

That might attract such tax-me-more Guilty White Liberals as Ed Asner and Robert Redford, but will it play in Peoria?

Sounding more like an odoriferous Frenchman than an American congressman, he said, "We must lead the world instead of merely bullying it."

Gephardt's speech today wasn't entirely devoid of reality. "I'm not the political flavor of the month. I'm not the flashiest candidate around," he admitted.

Listened to some of his speech today -- he was boring and trite
"Thank you to Mom & Dad (deceased ??)-I'm doing this because you were such great parents" "It's for the children" "Poor people are hurting, tax cuts only for the rich" "Kudos to the Union thugs" When he likened President Bush to Marie Antoinette (let them eat crumbs) I muted him -- that one sent my gag-reflex off "Big Time"

Can't wait for him to claim he's a "New" Democrat.

Any serious(not to mention, series)Democrat Presidential hopeful has to always claim he is a "New" Democrat.

Want to see what an utter failure even partial socialized medicine has? Just look at Tenncare. It currently eats up almost a THIRD of our state budget and grows every year! Three years ago the state budget was about $17 billion and Tencare alone ate up $5 billion.

The jerk is like curdled milk in coffee. It floats but you don't drink it.

This man is so dumb he has his picture on three pages of the dictionary, next to stupid, moron, and idiot (My apologies to stupid people, morons, and idiots).

Like Rush just said Dickie, if the Clinton tax increases were the engine that fueled the economy in the 90's why aren,t any Democraps proposing tax increases?
