Hillary Spokesgal Fumes Over McCain's 'Shut-up' Advice
NewsMax.com ^ | 2/19/03 | Carl Limbacher and NewsMax.com Staff

A spokeswoman for Sen. Hillary Clinton sounded angry Wednesday morning over comments from Sen. John McCain yesterday, after the Arizona Republican urged ex-President Bill Clinton to "shut up!" and stop criticizing President Bush as the nation prepares for war.

"I don't think that's appropriate," barked the Clinton press flak, who hung up the phone abruptly before we could get the full McCain quote out.

No one in ex-President Clinton's Harlem office was available to comment on Sen. McCain's remarks.

In an interview with nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity on Tuesday, the Senate's most influential Republican slammed both ex-presidents Clinton and Carter for their recent Bush bashing, saying they were "causing damage" to U.S. interests with their constant carping about White House war plans in Iraq.

"Look, former presidents can do damage," McCain warned. "It's very unhelpful. It's in some ways damaging."

He then added, "I just have two words: Shut up!"

"It was an unwritten rule for a long time," the Arizona Republican told Hannity, "that you kept your mouth shut about the conduct, particularly of national security affairs, by the people that succeeded you. That is obviously not honored by either former President Carter or former President Clinton."

Well, for once I get to call my Senator and thank him for doing something right for a change.

I saw him on several shows, and he was really good.

Maybe Clinton and Carter are both aspiring to be the next Khofi Anusian of the UN. Both are adored by the anti-American commiosocialists of the world-there's no better qualification for that job.

Get the UN,Clinton and Carter out of the US and the US out of the UN and rid us of the Cancers, Carter and Clinton as well.

You know, I think I just might be able to die happy, if I knew that something I had said had made Hillary Clinton angry.

At the Israeli Day parade in NYC, I got very close to Hillary as she marched by. It was relatively quiet and a little old man right next to me called to her. She stared at us and leaned forward as he yelled “We love you, Hillary!” She was still smiling at us, about seven feet away when I yelled right in her face, “You’re a crook and you should rot in prison! Get the hell out of my state!”

She never lost her phoney plastic smile, but I know it pissed her off real good. Chuck Schumer stepped between us and whined “Nice. Real nice.”

I said, “Thanks Chuck, you little weasle.”

What a nice day that was.

Oh, are you serious? That is WONderful! What a great story! I never read that in FR! Wow, you got the pitch, you swung for the stars, you knocked it out of the park. That's a once-in-a-lifetime. Really wonderful, what a great story; I'm glad you told me.

You know, this I think is one of the reasons Rush Limbaugh is so big. (You're thinking, "Huh? And the connection is....?" -- hang on). People like me back in the nosebleed seats watch corrupt monsters like Clinton2 and Schumer and others, and listen to them gassing about what "their people" tell them, and we have no voice, no way of being heard. We rant, we fume; but we never will be able to go toe to toe with one of them, or to counter their lies and distortions. And then there's Rush Limbaugh, often as not telling 20+ million people exactly what we wanted to say.

He helped me stay sane during the Clinton years for just that reason. I was so frustrated, so angry, so furious with what Clinton was getting away with -- and there was Rush, who had the goods on him, and trotted them out in front of God and everyone day after day.

So now you're in that category. You told them a part of exactly what I need them to hear. I feel better just knowing you said it. Good job! And thanks!

Dan

Did you ever hear this story? If you hadn't, I knew you'd want to!

Powell told her to "shut up stupid" last week...in a little different fashion.

This is the same thing she pulled on stage with Lazio during the Senate debates. It's called "crying girl".

And there were a whole bunch of us here on FR telling her the same thing when she was giving her "Constitution 101 lecture during the Estrada hearings".

Thank you Senator McCain for not mincing words and saying what has needed to be said for a LONG TIME! I guess when a person does not have good character, it impacts all around him for a lifetime.

You inspired me to go back and search for the original post. Here it is:

One Mile Hillary! Freep

It was almost three years ago now (time flies) so there are some inconsistencies in exactly what was yelled. I’m sure the contemporaneous link is more accurate.

I yelled at her quite a few times that day.

As I noted at the time, letting me yell in her face was the nicest thing she ever did for me.

Sean said they have been bombarded with requests for a copy of the exchange between him and McCain.

I will spell his name correctly in honor of his comments yesterday.

I heard on TV last night that Carter actually wrote letters to our "allies" before Gulf War I, asking them NOT to support the war

I've never heard that before, although looking at his behavior the last few years, it's more than believable.Nobel Peace Prize my ___---Can anyone name a country where there is peace, that he had any hand in?Anybody? Of course you can't. It's just the fact that he tried.Continuing Feeble attempts in posing as a pacifist for publicity. What a load the Nobel Prize commission has become, and then to say they gave it to him to make a point against George W. Bush. There is plenty of smarmy to be spread all the way around with these 2 Libs. Odd how 2 sorry RAT Presidents publicly bash the President. My apologies for the digression.

I do not stand with Senator McCain on many issues, but on this one I do, and he is right:

CLINTON AND CARTER SHOULD JUST SHUT UP AND GO AWAY!

McCain was mostly referring to Jimmah Carter, Clinton has been pretty quiet lately (but NewsMax is obsessed with Bill Clinton... IMO Carter was much worse)
