I'll admit it, I'm a Simpsons junkie. I joined what I bet were millions of other people Sunday in front of the tube for the cartoon's 300th episode.

The Simpsons mock everyone, that's for sure. But at the end of each show the family inevitably ends up back together. In the end, the relative quiet and quaintness of Springfield remains unchanged.

One of the best shows ever. Although, it has become a little weak over the past several years. Its kind of hit and miss. I didn't think the three episodes on SUnday were that funny. They had their moments. When the rockers got in the "devil-head mobile", that was pretty funny.

The Simpson's writers do a good job of poking fun at themselves. When Lisa mentions in the 300th episode that Homer has embarrassed the family "300 times," Marge says "I could swear it was 302," a reference to two uncounted Halloween episodes.

In another episode, when someone reminds Homer that Maggie, not Waylon Smithers, shot Homer, Lisa comments "Although, that would have made more sense."

I remember way back when The Simpson's moved from Sunday night to Thursday night for the express purpose of putting the Cosby Show out of business. And the night of the last Cosby Show The Simpson's episode ended with Bart and Homer sitting on the couch watching the Cosby Show and Bart said to Homer "If I had my own show I would run Cosby off the air."
