Off the coast of Kuwait (Feb. 16, 2003) -- A Landing Craft, Air Cushioned (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 (ACU-4) returns to the U.S. Navy amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). ACU-4 has been transporting elements for the 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2-MEB) from Kearsarge to a Kuwaiti Naval Base. 2-MEB is deployed in the region in support of the global war in terrorism, and other operations in support of national interests as directed.
