At sea aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) (Feb. 15, 2002) -- A Landing Craft, Air Cushioned (LCAC) assigned to Assault Craft Unit 4 (ACU-4) leaves the well-deck of the Kearsarge while transporting equipment and personnel from the 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2-MEB) to a Naval Base in Kuwait. At sea aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) (Feb. 15, 2002) – A Landing Craft, Air Cushioned (LCAC) assigned Assault Unit Craft 4 (ACU-4) approaches the well-deck while transporting elements of the 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade (2- MEB) to a Kuwaiti Naval Base. 2-MEB has been deployed in the region to support the continued global war on terrorism, and other operations in support of national interests as directed.
