The most current attack has been spearheaded by Arriana Huffinton and a group of other people generally acknowledged to be on the right. Conservatives supposedly, whatever that means anymore.

They have commissioned and paid for the ads on TV and in the print media.

As others have pointed out, Huffington is not on the Right. I haven't read anything by her in the past 4 years that I even remotely agreed with. She's an idiot. Of course she opposes SUVs.

I don't tend to rely very much on the judgment of women who have married homosexuals. (I'll pay as much attention to Arianna as I would to Lisa Marie Presley or Liza Minelli on this, or any, issue.)
