Call in Numbers (800) 834-1530 California Toll Free (916) 921-1530 Dial * or # 1530 from your cell phone
The other side called in today to claim victory. Tonight we can correct the record.
Listen LIVE http://www.kfbk.com/streaming.html
Chat Room and Message Boards: http://groups.msn.com/MarkTalkcomFreeSwim
Tonight we'll provide an After-Action report from our counter protests around America.
PLEASE, pass the Listen Live link around to friends and family. We will tape it for future use pending license arrangements with Clear Channel Communication.
7:00 PM PST - The War Room: This note from Mark's Website:
"If you missed tonights show (last week) then you missed a U.S. exclusive interview with Kenneth Nichols OKeefe. He is the decorated veteran U.S. Marine of Desert Storm now leading a convoy of Human Shields to Baghdad in defense of the bloodthirsty regime of the Butcher of Baghdad. Listener reaction was explosive!"
Well, hold on to your seats folks... tonight Mark outs this supposed patriot in The War Room. This symbol of the Anti-War crowd is about to be exposed in a way that makes Mark Williams one of the shining stars of talk radio.
8:00 PM PST - The Reports Mainstream Media would cover!
Hear from the front lines: NYC, San Francisco and Sacramento. Hear the passion and reason from those who stood their ground and made us all so proud to be there representing mainstream America. Here personal stories of changing hearts and minds... be inspired and encouraged as America and her allies face the greatest challenge of the new millennium.
If you were at a counter protest we missed or were not able to connect with a representative, PLEASE drop us an email a.s.a.p. We need more than ever, to network with talk radio hosts and each of our Chapter Leaders and frontline warriors. Check our website for the latest updates on that effort and an upcoming event, designed to do just that. You'll hear that announcement tonight on MarkTalk Live.

Comwatch, to listen you have to download "Hywire" which is pretty pernicious spyware. They grab info off your computer and use it to spam you. Is there any way we can listen with WMP and not have to download this to our computers?

Hey Bob...
No, on the direct use of standard media player link.
I follow your lead and great advice often. This time, we might not fully agree. I've been playing and recording streaming providers for a long time now, and yes, some are terrible when it comes to pop-up and annoying content. That saif, I belong to a consortium that combats envasive spyware... Hiwire is not known for such practices and are very up front about targeted ads. (A harsh but necessary revenue source to pay for VERY expensive band width) Without those ads, only the Mainstream media could provide content on the internet. We live with that reality on broadcast television already ;-)
Here's what Hiwire has to say on the subject:
2. Does Hiwire install any "SpyWare" type software on my computer?
Hiwire's software enables you to listen to your favorite radio and streaming media broadcasts on-line. To get this software, you first had to agree to a simple, anonymous registration form, which asked you for your gender and your year-of-birth. This information was stored in your computer's registry to help the broadcasters sell targeted advertising to cover the costs of streaming. Hiwire's software does not enable us, the broadcaster, or a third party, to track your movements on the web, downloads to your computer, or any other "spyware" function. We will not disclose any of the information that you give us to a third party.
Now, that said Bob... we're urging KFBK to look elsewhere for a service provider for other reasons. Hiwire has not been able to patch it's player properly for NT users and there are problem for us who use the latest version of Window's Media Player. We will tape tonight's show in hopes of getting a rebroadcast license arrangement from KFBK in the future. It's all we poor gheto dwellers in Sacto can do at the moment. Thank you for your concerns and let's explore some other options soon.

Be careful with this. Liberal talk doesn't sell. The Democrats will make moves to force local stations to take the network.

There is no victory. They made a lot of noise and fired a salvo. That's not a victory.
The only way the lefties win is if Bush backs down, Congress backs down, or they lose election.
Else, they didn't win jack.

AOK. I believed I had read that Hywire was spyware and their user agreement states that when you use the service, it uploads information for advertising and marketing purposes, etc. This is usually indicative of software that invades your computer.
Your posts clarifies that this is strictly for the banner ads one sees and they otherwise don't sell or transmit any personal information. Thanks for the clarification!

My last ping to these fine Freepers for a job well done on Mark's show tonight. Sierra Wasp wrote: "LETS ROLL... That kinda talking just moves the soul"
Well, I must agree... when the crew here takes to the airwaves and represents the rest of us so well, it's a humbling experience. I proud to be one of you.
My deepest appreciation to Raoul, sfRummygirl, null and void and HighRoadToChina being on the show tonight. God Bless you all and God Bless America.

I thought my day was finished... until my mail alert drew me away from a late night snack. This will be my last ping for a while, I promise!
Below you will find a message that prompt me to come back to all of you for future consideration. Mr. Lyons does not show up in the top 100 yahoo searches as a filmmaker of any distinction; yielding only one possible hit. People who produce documentaries aren't shy, or are they? Maybe he's just a White Sox fan who borrowed the name to contact us. Maybe he's trolling for a weak link... who knows... who cares. But I thought you might have some thoughts on how we should handle these requests.
I tend to say no to most television shows like Sally Jesse, ABC PrimeTime Thursday, Jeraldo and Jenny Jones when it comes to stories from my other website CrimeWatch.us. Is that a mistake in our venue here? Any pros want to take on the task with input from the rest of us? Can we trust a guy who can't spell terrorism? I told him the ball was in his court... who has a great back-hand if he returns it.

Subject: Documentary
Hi, my name is Ross Lyons. I'm a filmmaker in Chicago, currently shooting
a documentary on America's views on war with Iraq and terroism. I need to
film some pro-war rallies and interview participants. If you know of any
rallies, especially in the chicago area, I would appreciate their dates and
whereabouts. Thankyou.
Sincerely,
Ross Lyons

Before we can even begin a conversation and on behalf of my friends, I need
to make a point with you. You will not find one person in our ranks, who is
"Pro-War". You have come to the wrong website (patriotwatch.com)
to find such a heartless and uncaring group of human beings if they exist at all.
Ross, I'm exercising great restraint in our first conversation because I
appreciate your interest in achieving some balance in your documentary
effort. I'm just one small voice with a few communication and networking
skills to offer a professional in your position. But if you begin a story
on the wrong premise, what kind of story, let alone balance, will you end up
with. Yes, I think we're equipped to introduce you to some fine Americans
who support a strong deterrence to the threat Saddam poses to his own
people, the region, our allies and here at home. If we can work from that
perspective, you'll have all the resource I can make available to you.
The ball is in your court and thank you for your interest.

It's heartwarming to see the Conservative movement picking up so much steam. There is only one slight 'problem', however.
We need to stop calling it 'counter-protesting'. The fact is, when we 'counter' a liberal argument, we lose by default. Instead, we are simply staying the course and on the agenda the Bush administration has set.
The fact that we lose when we 'counter' is evident in the leftist extremist agenda at this point. They have been expending a large amount of resources (time, energy & money) to counter the agenda that has been set by Bush and the Conservative movement. That is why they are in such a bad position at this point.
That said, stay the course and keep up the great work.
