They are out in THEIR HOME DISTRICTS, which was the point of RECESSING. Please try to keep up.
Now, the point of this thread who is currently on the shows, not who isn't. Try to stay on topic, please.

McCain on Fox Sunday.
Applaudes the right of everyone to speak their minds, he also respects the rights of people to make fools out of themselves,
Begs people do not protest in the name of Saddam, he has murdered thousands of his own people.

Condi is bringing people back to reality on Meet The Press...she will be followed by William Cohen, who now has "reservations" about war...maybe Cohen will soon announce that he is a Democrat candidate for president...

LOL, Mac just said France reminds him of an actress from the 40's trying to remain a beauty queen when her looks are gone.

McCain says France reminds him of an aging actress of the '40s whose trying to dine out but doesn't have the face for it! What a put-down.
To: mware
At last, McCain has found his forte...French bashing!
To: Miss Marple
Yeap, he is hammering into the French.

IIRC, the plan is to let the Dems continue their filibuster when the Senate gets back from recess. All to the good.

US and Britain will call on resolution to made definative
decision on Iraq. If the UN does not comply with its own resolution, we will do what we have to do.

Are you listening to Condi by any chance? She is absolutely fabulous! Says Friday's meeting only reinforced Saddam's ability to stall and not comply. She said Saddam was very pleased with Blix's report and Colin Powell had to remind his colleagues what resolution 1441 SAID. She says the games being played are the same old games that have been played before.

What the hell happened to Cohen, anyway?
He was a centrist Republican back in his Senate days, and supported Reagan, iirc.
Then Iran-Contra comes along and he loses his moorings. Finally, he ends up hooking up with the Sink Emperor.
Confusing, at best.

Chris

Actually, McCain's statement was even more biting than that. He said that France reminds him of "an aging movie star from the 40s still trying to dine out on her looks, but no longer has the face for it."
Comes pretty close to calling France a clapped-out hooker!
McCain's not my cup of tea, but that was priceless! It'll be interesting to see how it's reported in the French papers tomorrow.
