All one needs to do is follow the money.

The entire food industry "banks" on the fact that the evolutionary model for the origins of life is bogus.

The probabilities that an organic sealed jar of peanut butter would produce life forms are astronomically (beyond absurdity) greater than life happening by chance.

1. Peanut butter in a jar is an "open system". Light and temperature have access to those perfectly formed organic materials.

2. Life already exists prior to the packing of said jar.

3. Millions and millions of jars are available as an organic sample. (Lab tests have shown billions of times that life doesn’t come about that way).

4. Life requires an external input of pre-programmed information. (When you open the jar exposure to said information commences).

The food industry banks on these simple understandings.

NEWS FLASH, Nabisco just found Houdini drowned sealed in an iron cage.

It is said that if one studies the intricacies of breathing for a long enough time breathing becomes impossible.

Beware of your ability to read scientific papers.</sarcasm

The food industry only needs to make sure that life doesn't spontaneously form in the peanut butter jar before the expiration date.

If they set the expiration date to 04/01/1000003, then they just might run the risk of new life forming inside the jar while they claim it's still good to eat.

It certainly would be, since evolution explains the interrelationships between species, not the origin of life.

All this waste of bandwidth says is abiogenesis doesn't occur on earth at present. As Homer Simpson would say, 'DOH!'

BTW, you need to look up the definition of an 'open system', wwhich requires exchange of matter, not merely energy. If I can make creationists one iota less ignorant of basic scientific principles, I'm doing my job..
