IRAQ will double its Australian wheat purchases to $900 million a year - if there is no war.
The decision - which would make Iraq the single largest wheat market for Australia - was described yesterday as "a gesture of goodwill". Iraq late last year slashed Australian wheat exports to about $450 million because of the Federal Government's support for the looming war.
Australia-Iraq Friendship Association chief executive Bill Hartley said: "The Iraq Trade Ministry, as a gesture of goodwill and desire to fully restore relations with Australia, has restored purchases of wheat to previous annual quotas.
"Last year purchases were cut in half because of Australia's support of the US and UK.
"The trade will, of course, immediately stop if there is a war.
"War would be a hugely costly option for Australia."
A spokeswoman for Federal Trade Minister Mark Vaile said the Iraqi decision was excellent news for Australian wheat growers.
"We have had a long-term trade relationship with Iraq," she said.
"We attempt to keep trade and foreign policy in separate areas. But that's difficult in times like now."
Grains Council of Australia president Keith Perrett said: "Trade continued in previous con flicts and there is no reason why that should change."

Kill Soddomite and his band of Islamofascists, and the New Iraqi Government will buy billions of $'s of wheat to feed their people.
The oil will still be there. Instead of buying WMDS from France, Germany and Russia, the new Iraqi government can buy food for its people.
Also, the billions paid by Soddomite to the left wing marchers, so called non profits in America, and the mediots will stop. Then that money can help rebuild liberated Iraq!

If the Murdering Clan of Islamofacists of Iraq can afford an open bribe to the Aussies of 900 million $'s?
How much have they given under the table to their whores: the French, Germans, Belgiums, the left wing media around the world, ANSWER and other so called peace organizations to help stay alive?

Hey Saddam, I have more pull with GW. I will put in a good word with GW for less than Dog Gone. My fee will only be 899 million $'s.
I must insist on a deposit to my off shore account: "SAVESADDAM'SA$$ in the Bank of France, somewhere off shore.
Once you deposit the money, I will send an email with one good word about you to the White House. Then, I will post at least one article from the following to save your butt on Free Republic:
AFP, Reuters, AP, NY Slimes, DC Compost and LA Slimes.
I will post some whiney articleS or one threatening the end of the world if we invade Iraq with no comments.
My posting name will be: ONEREALPATRIOTFORSODDOMITEANDGWCHEATSATCHECKERS

A good low bid with some real great anti war postings should earn the 989 million $'s. He has to hurry up and depost it before he assumes desert temp with his bits and pieces.

Can't just imagine the hurt that I could do to the left wing, the Islamofacists, Herr Davis and the enviral rats if I had 900 million $'s in some off shore account?
We would make them leave the country or opt out of life due to the constant embarrassment of being exposed each day to reality.
