Prayer Thread for Yellow Rose of Texas - THIS IS NO DRILL!!

Long time Freeper Yellow Rose of Texas has recently had an attempted back surgery during which her aorta, which was encased in scar tissue, was nicked and had to be repaired. In a previous prayer thread, many many folks have graciously offered their prayers and comments of encouragement to her. I spoke with Yellow Rose of Texas yesterday and here is the latest!

Her recovery to the previous surgical attempt to do the back surgery has been phenominal. She saw her doctor two days ago on Tuesday. She is doing well enough that he has scheduled her back surgery in a week for TUESDAY FEBRUARY 18, 2003. She had initially been told it would be a few weeks longer to recover, but she has amazed her doctor and he judges that she is ready for the next procedure.

Rose has asked me to thank you each and every one so very much for all your thoughts and prayers on her behalf. She asked me to quote her,

"Thank you so much. I feel each and every one of your prayers. The Good Lord is with me and my family. I dont feel scared at all. This surgery will stabilize my back and it'll all be fine. I feel so protected. I am hoping that this surgery will enable me to once more return to the freeping that I enjoy. It has seemed in my life that if something unusual can happen, it will happen to me. Please pray that the surgery be routine. NO SURPRISES!! LOL!!"

Thanks for the up-date. Prayers for Yellow Rose and Gonzo being sent. Gees, soccer tournament cancelled (rain stuff), can get in extra prayers in church tomorrow morning.

Hi TEXOKIE, just got back from a long weekend of fun at my daughters in the Rio Grande Valley, and shopping in Mexico. Happy to hear that 'Rose' is doing well. I'm still praying for ALL on our prayer list. Hugs to you!!

UPDATE ON YELLOW ROSE OF TEXAS!!

I had a call from Yellow Rose of Texas yesterday. She informed me that she has spent the past several days in the hospital again. She has been suffering from a form of congestive heart failure due to excess fluids in the body built up as a reaction to her recent surgeries. Her heart is in good shape, but the fluid build up was making it difficult for her heart to function properly. The lack of oxygen was contributary to the slow healing of her skin which we have been concerned about.

She wants everyone to know "I'm doing great, but I would really be grateful for a little bit of a prayer boost right about now."

Her pain which was the original reason for the dangerous surgies she had HAS been helped, and she feels that she is now finally on the mend and on her way back.

OUR Father in Heaven,

We are grateful that you have been and are taking care of our friend Rose. Thank you for helping her doctors diagnose at last the condition which has slowed her healing.

Father, we ask that you will intercede in her life and heal her circulatory and excess fluid problems. We call forth a 100% healed and efficient heart and circulatory system. We call forth a 100% healthy and efficient immune system and oxygen carrying capacity of the blood. We call forth perfect and total healing of all skin, nerves, bone, and other body tissues which may be affected by less then complete health in her body. We call forth the 100% effectiveness of all medications, according to the needs of her body. We call forth continued guidance of her doctors and nurses as they care for her. Help this friend, your servant, reclaim her total health, according to thy will and timing.

Surround her family and close friends while she continues her process of healing. Strengthen them while they support her. Grant our Rose the continued patience to endure what must be done to get better.

Father, this which we ask for our Rose we ask for any and all who may be in a similar situation. Let all be done according to thy Plan and timing and will. We are grateful that you are hearing and answering our prayers so faithfully even while we are praying them.
