FBI Destroyed Possible McVeigh Evidence
AP | 2/13/03

Posted on 02/12/2003 11:17:50 PM PST by kattracks

WASHINGTON, Feb 13, 2003 (AP Online via COMTEX) -- The FBI and prosecutors ordered the destruction in 1999 of evidence from a bank robbery they once suspected linked Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh to white supremacists who were threatening before McVeigh's bombing to attack the government, documents show.

The evidence included a surveillance videotape of a bank robbery by some of the supremacists that occurred in Ohio five months before the bombing. The FBI lab compared the tape to pictures of McVeigh, but concluded a match was "inconclusive," internal memos show.

The 1999 destruction order, obtained by The Associated Press, was unusual because at the time McVeigh and one of the bank robbers had legal appeals pending.

And the government knew, but had turned aside, an offer from one of the bank robbers, Peter Kevin Langan, to provide information about possible other conspirators in the McVeigh case. Langan and his lawyer claim he still possesses Oklahoma City information the government hasn't heard.

FBI officials said Wednesday they were still trying to determine whether the videotape and other evidence was actually destroyed, but remain confident all those responsible for the 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah federal building have been punished.

What a huge shame that OKCSubmariner was banned.

I agree.

The polygraph examiner found that "McVeigh was being truthful" ...

That doesn't really mean much does it? Most of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 didn't know what the plan was either. It's called operational security and is a well known and rigidly observed doctrine of ME terrorist groups. Those guys were all dyed in the wool, raised and trained Muslim Fundamentalist operatives and were still completely insulated from operational information they didn't need to know.

But the most telling indication was Tim’s “manifesto” to the defense team of November 24,1996. It was handwritten, addressed to “All Attorneys Assigned to U.S. Versus McVeigh,” and it read as follows:

--------------------------------------------------

Defense strategy:
As official notice, let it be known that I do not approve of a trial strategy in which Terry Nichols is attacked, blamed or otherwise implicated in any crimes. Further, I do not approve of pointing the finger of responsibility at anyone else who I know is not responsible or who is in no way deserving of such scrutiny. I have relayed this wish orally for 18 months-not only concerning Terry Nichols, but also addressing the “foreign” investigations and the “neo-Nazi” investigations. My oral requests have been basically ignored for the past 18 months and it is only recently that Judge Matsch has forced the defense into partial compliance with my wish. However, the defense still tries to ignore my wishes-demands where Terry Nichols is concerned.

I will not allow you to coerce me into lowering my moral and ethical values to that of attorneys and lawyers.

So that it is clear, I approve of any general reference to unknown others or cover-ups, but I expressly do not approve of any specific allegation against specific groups or individuals-unless those groups or individuals are clearly approved by me in writing.(The only person or groups that I currently give permission to attack is Roger Moore.) For further explanation of my feelings, see the letter I wrote to Jeralyn Merrit with attached 4 x 6 Post-its which I delivered to Bob Wyatt on October 30,1996. Attached to this letter was a request for general circulation and comment, but it also has been ignored.

(signed)
Tim McVeigh
November 24, 1996

Jones continues on page 259:

In other words, we were now restricted from raising the possibility of anybody else involved, unless Tim gave us permission in writing, and the only person he was authorizing was Roger Moore, against whom he nursed a grievance but who, from everything we knew, hadn’t been involved in the bombing!”

you here to once again defend the terrorist network

What 'terrorist network'?

McVeigh admits his act.

Now you must admit it and come to grips with your paranoia and propensity to 'see' things and 'read into' things that aren't *really* there ...

This man refused to accept what his client told him -

- so why do you even quote him now?

Time and time again Oklahoma Jones swam against the tide on this, AND, OKLAHOMA JOMES stands to PROFIT from this and, MUST continue to support the 'widespread' conspiracy theories he invented -

- McVeigh (SHOULD you EVER read his BOOK) time and time again TOLD THE SAME STORY to investigators HIRED by jones -

- NOT ONCE did her waiver in his account/his story/his involvement in the OKC bombing ...

McVeigh insisted that the entire Elohim City conspiracy theory was a red herring, a waste of his team's time and money.

He swore that he had never met Snell or Howe; he admitted that he'd met Strassmeir once, at a gun show, and that he'd attempted to call Strassmeir at Elohim two weeks before the bombing, in search of a potential post-bombing hideout. He never wavered from his contention that neither Strassrneir nor anyone else at Elohim had anything to do with the bombing.

{But] McVeigh never stopped Jones from pursuing his theories, calculating that they might help confuse the prosecution.

And to finish this out today I leave you with this excerpt:
While awaiting sentencing in March 1998, Nichols sent judge Matsch a sixteen-page letter, asking for leniency and offering an apology of sorts for the role he played in the crime. The letter made clear that Nichols felt the blame rested squarely on McVeigh.

"If I did anything to contribute to the cause of the Oklahoma City bombing I am sorry, I'm truly sony," Nichols wrote.

I never never wanted to kill or harm anyone or to damage or destroy any buildings or property anywhere at anytime. This may sound hollow and superficial to some but I am sincere when I say that I would give my life if it would bring back all those that died in the bombing, especially the children.

Perhaps I should have listened closer to what McVeigh was saying. Perhaps I should have questioned McVeigh more about certain things ... I never in my wildest dreams ever thought that I would know someone that would do a horrible terrorist act as what happened in OKC. I never thought that an American would carry out such a terrorist act in his own country ... I'm sorry that I am too naive and too trusting of people.

On June 4, 1998, Matsch sentenced Nichols to life in prison without parole. He called Nichols "an enemy of the Constitution." As an additional, largely symbolic punishment, Nichols was ordered to pay $14.5 million to his victims. If he should ever come into money, in effect, Nichols would not be allowed to keep it.

Six months later, in December, FBI Special Agent Danny Defenbaugh, who led the investigation, told the Oklahoman and the Tulsa World that the goverment's $82.5 million investigation into the bombing had determined that there was no wider conspiracy than McVeigh and Nichols.

Defenbaugh said that none of the many conspiracy theories that had been suggested -

- including allegations that some foreign government or militia organization had been behind the bombing -

- had ever panned out. He said federal agents had checked 43,500 leads and eliminated 7,156 people as possible accomplices in the bombing.

The polygraph examiner found that "McVeigh was being truthful"

More disinformation.

From "Others Unknown" p.123

From the polygragh administrator's report:

Tim Domgard:

"After a short pause, I reaffirmed the statement advising McVeigh that there's absolutely no doubt in my mind he's attempting to keep someone's identity, who is involved in this situation, from me."

p.122-123

"As was immediately clear to Domgard, there were "indications of deception" in resonses to the sixth, eighth, and eleventh questions on both tests."

Eigth:Other than Terry Nichols, was there any one else involved with you in the execution of that bombing?

Resp:No.

The FBI is running a very clever PR campaign in to deflect the whithering criticism that they deserve for deliberately obscuring the identity of the "2nd John Doe" and his possible link to Middle Eastern terrorists.

The FBI is pre-emptively admitting to a lesser charge: "We didn't pass along information about Mcveigh soon enough".

Nonsense. The FBI is guilty of deliberately spilking it own investigation into the identity of "John Doe 2" at the behest of Clinton politcal operatives who were desperate to supress the knowledege of a possible middle east connection.

McVeigh admits his act.

The only information you have presented here are the words of a known mass murderer who failed a polygraph when asked if other than Nichols, was there anyone else involved.

What are you so comfortable accepting the words of a mass murderer who failed a polygraph but have no interest in the videotape of the Ryder truck showing two people in the cab as reported in the AP article?

No wonder the terrorists were so successful on 9-11, you guys don't get briefed on this information?

What 'terrorist network'?

_Jim, just search the old evidence storage room, dust off the originals of the room registrations mentioned below, take note of the Iraqis registered, that's where you can start looking for the 'terrorist network'.

The Terrorist Motel: The I-40 connection between Moussaoui and Atta
LA Weekly
JULY 26 - AUGUST 1, 2002
Jim Crogan

ONE REASON FOR THE FBI'S APPARent lack of interest might be this motel's alleged connection to Timothy McVeigh and a group of Iraqis who worked in Oklahoma City. According to the motel owner and other witnesses and investigators interviewed by the Weekly, McVeigh and several of these Iraqis were motel guests in the months preceding the 1995 bombing. Witnesses also claimed they saw several of the Iraqis moving barrels of material around on the bed of a truck. The motel owner said the material smelled of diesel fuel and he had to clean up a spill. Diesel fuel was a key component of the truck bomb that blew up the Federal Building.

The motel owner said he and his staff reported this information to the FBI in 1995. "We did have an ATF agent come out and collect the originals of the room registrations for that period, but we never heard back from them. And I never could get the registrations returned." He added that his previous experience with the FBI made him reluctant to contact them about Moussaoui. "But I decided it was my duty to tell them what had happened. So I did."

It is clear from the evidence that the bombing of the OKC Federal building was the work of "domestic" terrorists and Middle Eastern terrorists working together.

bottom line:

Had the truth been told, the War on Terrorism would have started in1995 and September 11,2001 would be just another date on the calender.

never seen it put any better!

Orlin Grabbe has a good article about OKC today. Let's face it, the Elohim group was seriously infiltrated. There is a middle eastern connection, but the agitprop boys didn't want to play that card at that time (Honway and I disagree about which middle eastern country). I think it is the country which Graham says will be made known in fifty years.

I always thought that Chandra Levy was behind leaking all those government documents implicating the FBI....They will never do a DNA test on her bones.

Hey, Jed, where'd you find this...

The Clinton administration gave the security contract for the Oklahoma City Murrah building (at the time of its bombing) to the small firm Teg Security (its only federal contract), which was apparently a subsidiary of Akal Security, headquartered in China and owned by Sikh Indians. http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/forum.cgi?read=28601
