You didn't answer my question, what would you have them talk about? As for being a rino, I just assumed , as you were apparantly covering for the dims, that you are not a true republican or conservative.

Who do you think posts on here from the National Republican Senatorial Committee? ME!!!! Who has been a lifelong Republican -- ME!!!!! What has a huge ping list on here for Pres Bush/Senate Republicans? ME!!!!! Who do you think put up the Petition from NRSC to get Freepers to protest the RATs? ME!!!!!!
Get the picture!
Why don't you ask the Freepers around here what they think -- first time in a long time I have been called a RINO.
You missed the whole point of what we were discussing -- we were talking about Republicans talking down the RATs not the other way around. Give them some of their own medicine if they want something.
I put my TV on mute when the RATs come on. You have obviously not been on here very long if you think I am a RINO or a RAT!

Did you bother to read this thread because with your statement to me you obviously didn't? I just reread it again! What is your game?
Am sick and tired of people that never post on here all of a sudden taken after people that have spent hours trying to get people to call their Senators and ask them to please allow a vote.
Thanks for the insults you have thrown -- you did not make my day!

You are the one who has beem rude. My original post was in response to a question posed by another poster who asked what the fillibusters could talk about. My response was that they could talk about anything they wanted to. You insinuated yourself into the conversation by telling me to get lost. I am willing to accept your apology at any time.
By the way, I have been posting on this site since early 1999. I have been banned a few times but JR knows that and he has told me that he doesn't care as long as I don't pee on the carpet.

Well I have been on here since early 1999 myself and I have not been banned. Did you change your screen name -- mine has not changed. BTW, Jim knows me too!
In a filibuster, you can talk about anything. Sometimes they just read from a book. In a full blown filibuster you have to keep talking and talking 24/7 about anything you want and you don't yield the floor because in that case the opposition gets control. My understanding is that Strom Thurmond holds the record for a filibuster talking for a straight 24 hours. If the majority doesn't have 60 votes, then if they can steal the floor, they keep talking until eventually enough Senators to make 60 have had it and then cloture is invoked and a vote taken on the bill.
Bottom line -- any subject can come up in a filibuster which makes it a total waste of taxpayer money IMO.

Get the picture! I sure do. I see a self important, dried up old lady who has nothiing in her life but too much time on her hands so she tries to impress people of her importance. You must be married to billybob, he's important too. -

NO personal attacks
I should have guessed you were someone I knew from before that has changed screen names as your comments made no sense! I would hit abuse but frankly you are not worth it! If you are who I think you are, let's reach that agreement again -- I don't post to you and you don't post to me!

almost 2000 posts here! Bump for Estrada!
Freepers, rather than waiting to see what happens with Estrada and Owen, we need to take the lead. That means presuring Senators, special interest groups, media organizations, etc. This thread is meant to be an ongoing effort to get this man confirmed. For too many years liberals have had their way on the courts. Now, President Bush is in a position to move the courts to the right. The election of '02 showed that the country is with the President. I think it's time to let Daschle, Hillary, and Pelosi know this is Bush country. Are you with me! Let's FREEP these people.
