"My guess she is calling the shots, kind of amazing that a Jr. Senator that has only been in office 2 years can carry so much weight in the senate .."
Remember hilery's white house database? And all those FBI files? Hmmm.

One time you actually saw her nod yes to widow Carnahan on the Tax Cut vote. I didn't know that .. but yes I agree with you both .. Hillary has been calling the shots from day one

The Rats are really playing with fire. This has to be orchestrated by Hillary,She's most certainly involved. Looks like Hillary got her Senate "war room".
Sen. Hatch said that the powerful leftist activist groups in DC are behind this - led by PFAW. He read from a PFAW letter included in the Dem. briefing, lie after lie, readily de-bunked by Orrin.
The Dems. are listening to their base - which now seems to consist of those who hate the President (and America) the most.

Not sure why the GOP is holding back on this. I think it requires a majority vote of all members present:
3. If, at any time during the daily sessions of the Senate, a question shall be raised by any Senator as to the presence of a quorum, the Presiding Officer shall forthwith direct the Secretary to call the roll and shall announce the result, and these proceedings shall be without debate. 4. Whenever upon such roll call it shall be ascertained that a quorum is not present, a majority of the Senators present may direct the Sergeant at Arms to request, and, when necessary, to compel the attendance of the absent Senators, which order shall be determined without debate; and pending its execution, and until a quorum shall be present, no debate nor motion, except to adjourn, or to recess pursuant to a previous order entered by unanimous consent, shall be in order.

Miss Marple and I came to conclusion shortly after she took office that Hillary was calling the shots! Almost from day one those moronic RAT women Senators would stop by to see her before casting their vote. One time you actually saw her nod yes to widow Carnahan on the Tax Cut vote.
I wonder how the esteemed Senator Schumer
feels about this?

Don't expect the pubbies to call for a vote to end the filibuster any time soon. The last thing we need is Kerry being wheeled in on a stretcher to cast his vote to sustain the obstruction. Sympathy for dems would be unbelievable.

Thanks for posting Landrieu's expected flip-flop on Estrada. Also from that article:
Breaux [D-LA] said he argued unsuccessfully during a Democratic luncheon Tuesday against the party using a filibuster to block the nomination.
"What I said in the caucus is, 'Look, the country is on Orange Alert. We're telling people to stockpile water, duct tape and plastic to secure their safe rooms; we have a war within the next couple of weeks possibly in Iraq; who knows what is going to happen with North Korea; and consumer confidence is at an all-time low,' " Breaux said. "Now is not the time to be tying up the Senate on a nominee who is given the very highest recommendations by the American Bar Association."
Breaux gets it.

Mary Landrieu: Guess Hitlery pointed out page 4873 of their FBI files to Mary!!
To: PhiKapMom
Feinstein never stops before going to vote. In fact, a lot of times she has walked in with Republican Senators down their aisle and back up it avoiding Hillary completely. Okay, as my tagline suggests, I'm a little slow....what is the significance of this? Is it because Hitlery has made derogatory remarks about Jews, or, something else?

Frist can end this immediately by simply insisting on CONSTANT floor presence by Democrats...all night long, all weekend long. The monent they stop, bring it up for a vote. Not sure why the GOP is holding back on this. Hopefully, he just wants to underscore that the GOP are the well-behaved folks here... and milk this for what it's worth through the weekend. (He's said he'd keep the Senate in session this weekend.) I think Frist will get tougher as it goes. He's not one that likes to be beaten or embarrased by anyone. (He was raised the youngest of his family, to which I can relate.)

Breaux does get it. So does Nelson of Nebraska. They know the RATs are walking off the plank!
They can keep on talking for all I care -- show the American people what a waste of tax dollars these Hillary DemocRATs are. They are going to pay big time and she may just have cost herself the nomination for Pres because any RAT wanting to run could use her speech filled with lies from yesterday against her in an ad.

I sent Feinstein an email expressing my displeasure with the Democrats not allowing an up or down vote on Estrada...Boxer I figure is completely hopeless . Forwarded Feinstein's email to a few of my nearest and dearest here in CA. Hope Frist makes the Dems actually talk...and talk...this is his chance to show what he's made of!!
To: Coop
You are right, Breaux gets it.
This reminds me of watching the UN session last week, after Powell made his presentation, and the whole group got up and adjourned for lunch! I only hope that Saturday Night Live will pick up on this ridiculous ploy, the same way they did the UN last week!
To: woodyinscc
True, Hillary is calling the shots which explains Bella Pelosi's new position.
Anyone have any nightmare as to whom would run with Hillary in 2008???
To: nicmarlo
I have no idea on Feinstein but it was so obvious that she was the only Woman DemocRAT Senator not stopping to see Hillary before voting. She voted for the tax cuts and wasn't even up for re-election. She has voted on issues with Republicans since Hillary has been in office that I have been shocked about. Don't know what is up but Feinstein is not on the Hillary bandwagon that I can see!

I stopped listening to Leahy, sorry....he makes my blood pressure soar, too. If he's taking cheap shots at Orrin, I'll tune in. He looks so innocent and noble. Ptui!
