channel 5 in nyc reports that man of middle-eastern descent has been taken into custory "for questioning" about the truck.If that's true (and such rumors have come and gone before) then I revise my prediction. Somebody spotted them, freaked out, and called the cops.
if every box truck driven by middle easterners in nyc were stopped, the city would grind to far more of a halt than tradffic there usually is. and i don't think that just saying that there's a sawrthy dude in a box truck would trigger this much activity. more likely, it's been under observation for awhile, or there's a more specific tip. whether it bears fruit of course is a different matter. and fwiw, they stopped it right at the toll booths, which are not on the bridge itself, and have taken it to an area owned by the port authority which is even farther from the bridge.
