WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Americans have apparently heeded the U.S. government's advice to prepare for terror attacks, emptying hardware store shelves of duct tape.
On Tuesday, less than 24 hours after U.S. Fire Administrator David Paulison described a list of useful items, stores in the greater Washington, D.C. area reported a surge in sales of plastic sheeting, duct tape, and other emergency items.

I'm not yucking it up. I'm very concerned. I think they're very afraid of chemical or dirty nukes. That's why they're saying seal off a room and have food and water for thirty days. Most of that crap would dissapate after thirty days.
Of course the answer is to kill all of the Muslims. Hate to say it but that's the only way this war can be won. And we'd have to kill them all overseas because our constitution won't allow us to do it here. I'm afraid we have two options: Stay a free country and go down the tubes or give up liberty for security. Neither sounds good to me.
On another note, my nephew was activated (Ark National Guard) and is going to a training base in Texas for two weeks then on to on God and Rumsfeld know.

I thought it was food and water for three days.

I think that the best preparation is to have new lipstick, lipliner, and matching lip gloss. I have a website for ordering online from the Pink Cadillac company.
All joking aside, remember to add disposable contacts to your preparations if you have the need...

Sorry....it is three days. Not thirty. If it was thirty it would be hopeless.

Yes. Soon, we may have to engage foregn governments in Duct Tape Reduction Talks.
But no unilateral re-duct-ion!!

Can we save enough of the duct tape for the mouths of Clooney, Sarandon, Sheen, Roberts, etc.?

He was of the opinion that all precautions were just a useless as the duck and cover manuver and closed by commenting that we have come full circle to "duct and cover".The difference between then and now is that the American kids of the 50's and 60's were kept safe by the fact that if they were ever attacked at their desks, Moscow would have become radioactive slag in short order.
The Muslim world has no such fear.

Sounds like you should be in the duct tape and plastic sheet business instead. Hmmm, I can see the container ships moving towards the U.S. now. Anyone want to buy some duct tape of plastic sheeting?

Is it o-k to skip them, if I don't wear glasses? It is OK, if you are outfit is properly accessorized.
To: myprecious
If your contacts start to fail you, maybe duct-tape them in place.

(Why a duct tape?)
To: ATOMIC_PUNK
This is insane. So we are supposed to seal ourselves in our homes and cower now? Wouldn't it be easier to deport all Muslims and tell them their holy cities will disappear if there is one more terrorist attack?
To: Utah Girl
FYI bump - thought you in particular would appreciate this one.

Thank goodness those knuckle-dragging seventh-century cretins in filthy nightshirts will only unleash their mayhem late on a Sunday night when most everyone is safely at home. You mean Red Green or Al Qaeda?
