Please help start a drive to boycott German& french products

Posted on 02/10/2003 3:39:43 PM PST by americanbychoice

We need to act now to show those socialists that we are behind our country. Boycott their products, that's where it will hurt the most. Let's buy products from countries that support us.

You reminded me of what my mother told me when I was knee high to a grasshopper. Trying to get me to use Guldens (dijon has been, is, and always will be verbotten), she would ask:

"Do you want the big boys' mustard (Gulden's) or the little girls' mustard (Frenches)".

BRAVO! (Or should I say, Ole!?) Good for you. For a while there, I was really thinking about taking the ol' white-out pen & doing some creative geneology on my family tree. But then I realized: why should I be so ashamed about all my french ancestry? After all, MY folks were the ones who got the hell outta dodge. It's all the nutty weirdos who STAYED who are the darwinian dregs of the universe. THEY are the ones who tried to appease Hitler by running to Vichy (leaving their wives & children at the mercy of the rampaging brownshirts).MY ancestors didn't. France is the official armpit of europe now, sadly, and they have Chirac to thank for it.

Well, the next time please be more emphatic!!! No more French wine in my house. They crush the grapes with unwashed feet and never bother to take an outhouse break.

Wouldn't it be cool if McD's announced they weren't making french fries any longer - they'd all be american fries? they could sell them in red/white/blue containers and i'd buy 'em by the pound

I encountered quite the opposite of reactions when I toured Normandy last year. I was moved by all of the memorials and statements of gratitude aimed at Americans (this was out of the annexed beach areas). It really is a trip everyone should make. Some Normans have their heads on straight. But just to be sure I won't take a sip of the Calvados for awhile.
Also no more Deutsche Grammaphone classical recordings.

No new truck made by a certain kraut-owned company. No more "Chef Pierre's frozen french bread" either.

Am sure that those near Normandy have constant reminders, and are appreciative, as certainly well they should be.

Unfortunately, the unbathed in the most of the rest of the frog Country are the problem.

We were in St. Barts almost twenty ago, and I picked up the tab, and there was a tip of 20pct plus a "surcharge" of 20pct. When questioned, the frog said "the American dollar is not worth anything, and we have to get a surcharge".

I had to buy a Michelin to replace an OEM tire on my vehicle recently, and almost had a stress attack if you know what I mean.

Just make sure you don't buy French vanilla ice cream for those waffles.
