...find increasing use of the phrase "my bad" and was wondering what the hell people are talking about when they use it.Me too. (Or is that another verboten expression?) I hear that expression from people who are under 22. Is it supposed to mean "my mistake" or, "I shouldn't have done or said that?"

"True..True"..."My Bad" is "So Yesterday" "Fer sure". It makes me want to "totally" "barf to the max" in a very tubular way.

Pple who use "my bad" are just loosers who are not very inciteful. My use of the English language is horrible by many standards - but I still have standards and the use of the word 'loose' for 'lose' is one of my 'major' pet-peeves! lol

The one phrase that I despise above all others has not been mentioned so far in this thread:
No Brainer!

Someone left yout cake out in the rain?
On lots of fora, this one included, you see certain typos or word substitution -- usually because many people are sight typists (as am I) as opposed to touch typists (my theory). This results in interesting and non-grammatical word usage:
series=serious (probably the brain doing a synonym replacement)
loose(r)=lose(r) -- finger stutter
There are others -- give ppl a break as they usually type WAY slower than they think so they make many mistakes (note the use of "ppl" in place of "people"). The emoticon analogy is probably the best -- shorthand saves valuable keystrokes.
"All you (anything) are belong to us" is a reference to a now, million plus internet-year story about a game that was made in japan and shipped out with a very funny translation, one spectacular phrase being "All you base are belong to us." The whole link is here:

Hope that helps!

Which I happen to find very annoying sometimes.
The bad thing is that it's not usually intentional.
