SCI]Am I watching live cam pic's of a new volcano being born? Hey folks, I check out Mount Popocapeteil (sp) volcano (Near Mexico City) most every day for the last few years. I HAVE NEVER SEEN WHAT I AM SEEING NOW. If you go to the TELMEX site you must click on the ALTZOMONI camera and page right on the cam to see a NEW FIRE AREA that was never there before. I dont know if it is a new opening a new volcano or just a forest fire. What do you guys think??

Maybe it looks better in the daytime?
All I see is dark - its night-time in Mexico.
NO wait, I see it now,
its a black bear eating a licorice stick at midnight!

I had clicked on that, also. I saw dark with a little light in one section.

If you people will keep on the site the camera reloads new photos almost continuously, you will see a new photo every few seconds! The NEW activity is on the extreme lower right of the ALTZOMONI CAM!

I am not getting any response from the ALTZOMONI or TIAMACAS cameras. Is that true for everyone, or just me?

What's this little piece of software they are trying to download to your computer?
The up close cameras require the download, where the one in the village does not - interesting no?

Looks like a volcano erupting to me. It ain't as neato burrito as the one I saw in Costa Rica last summer, but the camera isn't in color, either.
It does seem to be working, though.

I have had the site bookmarked for so long i dont remember if i had to download anything to get it. YOU DO NOT WANT THE CLOSEST CAMERA VIEW, IT IS TOO CLOSE TO THE MAIN VOLCANO AND DOESNT SHOW IT. YOU NEED THE ALTZOMONI CAM, CLICK ONLY ON THAT ONE.

Ahh... I think your post explains my trouble. If they are attempting to load some PC software... I'm presently on a Mac in a different area of the lab. Maybe I'll try this from a PC later on.

What do you guys think??
I'm not a vulcanologist, nor do I play one on television. I think I would be guessing presumptuously.
