WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Transportation security was increased nationwide on Saturday and health care officials were urged to be vigilant for symptoms of bio-chemical contamination, a day after the nation raised its terrorism threat level a notch to "high."

New York City; eastern Virginia; Portland, Oregon; and Atlanta, Georgia -- host of this year's National Basketball Association All-Star Game -- were beefing up security under the alert warning issued Friday. New flight restrictions are planned for airspace around Washington, D.C., starting Monday.

A new airspace restriction ( a.k.a. Air Defense Perimeter) for small aircraft goes into effect at 6 a.m. monday morning for the D.C. area. It covers a 30 mile radius of the city and up to 18,000 feet. Small planes must maintain 2-way radio contact with the control tower, they must file a flight plan and squawk a discreet locator signal at all times.

Peach, the attack will depend on the moon..nothing can or should happen until between Feb 27 and March 6th when Iraq is totally dark.

Actually my bet is the air war starts before this. We don't need total darkness for air strikes. But it would help a lot for ground movements.
