I read that about the moon, but do you think the Iraqis know this too and then we've lost an element of surprise? How important is it to have total darkness for our planes? Ignorant questions, I know, but inquiring minds want to know.

You keep asking why we don't use the "not a pre-emptive attack argument". The reason it isn't used is it doesn't hold water. AQ attacked the WTC, not Iraq. Iraq's had biological and chemical weapons for almost twenty years that I know of (we were briefed on it at the Army War College in the mid-80's) and doesn't sell weapons. Iraq only buys. The notion that a secular thug like Saddam would work with AQ and OBL, Islamic fundamentalists who want to overthrow Saddam and others like him - or them with him - is really a stretch.

I really love that cartoon. My Sister was in One WTC (54th floor) and just made it out. There were a couple of hours waiting for word after they collapsed before we heard she was safe. This cartoon captured my mood perfectly.
